Just gotta get my clutch working then im out on the road - here is the deal...

Bled the clutch a million times, pedal is easy to push down until about 3 inches from the floor, then gets tough...only pops out on its own until that same 3 inch point...tried both sr and ka slave cylinders - worked great before the motor was pulled - new clutch (act street/strip, resurfaced flywheel). Using the correct fluids. there is a clicking coming from the clutch fork area every time. ive started it and ran through all gears on the jack stands but it wont go in gear on the ground. any ideas anyone?!

might have not gotten the shift fork connected properly. Get below the car and have someone push the pedal up and down. Watch the motion of the slave and how the fork moves. Might be your problem. If so, you will need to pull the tranny back out.

yep, best thing to do is to take it out and have someone who is definite on how it's supposed to go in take a look at it and help. I know how hard it is to get the fork and throw out bearing in together. Makes you want to almost half ass it sometimes.

You might also want to bypass that little box that mounts to the lower rail, you know, the one that the hard line goes into before going to the slave cylinder. That thing is incredibly rediculous to bleed.

So i worked on the car for 13 hours today trying to get this fucker done...the retaining wire that holds the shift fork to the sherical pivot inside the tranny was jacked. Should be up tomorrow.

Well I ended up having to pull the motor because the tranny was too hard to install from under the car. I haven't bled the clutch because I don't have anyone home with me right now - but I'm definately not hopeful that this will fix it. I'll let everyone know when its working, but for now I think i need a break - working on the car on the cement on my back for 35+ hours the past 3 days is painful.

FUCK, Clutch won't bleed right...put everything back correctly to my knowledge (which is none). The pedal still sticks to floor, and it sucks. Any ideas would be grrrrrrrreat!

you pulled the motor??????? Jeez. I had to pull and re-install my sr tranny last week, and I did it on the floor in my garage no problems. An easy way to do it is either jack up the front of your motor to create the proper angle to slide your tranny in, or try turning the tranny almost upside down to get the bellhousing to clear the firewall, then rotating it once you get it slipped in. Sorry you are having so many problems. Once you get it figured out you will forget all about this crap. Clutch bleeding is a huge PIA, so dont feel bad that you haven't been able to do it properly. Does your car have that stupid thing attached to your frame rail that the master cyl clutch line goes to before it goes to the slave? If so, remove it and put the hard line directly to the slave line, it will be much easier to bleed. If not, you will need atleast 2-3 people to bleed it correctly. One to keep pouring fluid in, one to keep pushing/picking up the pedal, and one down by the slave to open the bleeder valve.

I have bee naable to bleed it okay...so im thinking it has to be something else...regarding removal of that certain part of the line - do i need anything or will i be able to bypass that junction without any additional parts?

make sure ur bleeding it correctly, this is what i do:

1. pour plenty of fluid in the clutch master cylinder.
2. have 1 person pump the clutch till it gets hard (make sure the clutch slave is closed)
3. put a hose (vacume line works good) around the bleed valve, and insert the bleed valve into half a bottle of water.
4. once the pressure gets hard on the pedal, release the bleed valve
5. tighten. do steps 2-4 untill the bubbles stop coming up.

Figured it out - i originally put the wrong fluid in the system, which siezed up my master cylinder. Im an idiot

It cold be that the MC rod is not being pushed enough to engage the slave.
INSIDE the car check the MC pushrod lenght and unscrew it (longer press, the pedal will get higher)
IMO it could be a combination of bleeding and Mc adjustment, for correct bleeding you will need the MC rod to be screwed only a few turns on the clucht pedal, after bleeding you then adjust it to correct pedal height.
A throwout bearing fork misalignment also makes this (as you already noticed)

Work with patience, hurry and desesperation are good for injuries and failures!!
