Your not a sellout unless you got for something thats slower, FWD and not a NISSAN.
I wouldn't go for it....but that's just me....I like the ease (and sometimes cost) of repairs on the 240SX compare to the 300ZX TT.
I wouldn't change for a 300zx. Maintenance will be harder. You will also have more to deal with. You're changing to an older car that is much heavier, bulkier, and less gas efficient. Though a 300zx is just plain dead sexy, I still wouldn't trade.
If you're really dying for a turbo, why not turbo ka?

Yes a hooked up Silvia does look nice...but those are in Japan...unless you import one. You car is a 240SX....and can look VERY nice when done right.

since it has 57k miles, just know that there is a required 60k maintenance. I'm not sure how much it costs, but yeah...just thought you'd like a heads up. Also, there was something about the early 1990 Zs that was faulty. They fixed it later in the year. For more information about buying a Z, there are some sticky threads at www.300zxforums.com
Hope I helped ya. Personally, I owned an S14 and a Z32 (N/A) and I want my S14 back :wtc:. That is just me though. Also, mine was an N/A, not a TT. Ahhh, I love the headlights on the Z

You won't be selling out unless you start buying APC<-(the devil) products.

I'd totally go for the TT. That is cheap..........however insurance is totally a diff story, hahahah.
I'd go with the Z32 TT =D
How much is the 60k maintanance?

yea i remember reading in a Z32 forum and hearing about the 90 300Z not being the best year for the model, becuase of it being faulty. and no your not being a sell out cause you got another Nissan....300Z's are hot too, it I had a chance to get a 93-95 300ZTT I would!!

300zx parts are like 100 times more expensive then 240 parts... used to be a z enthusiast.. unless you make some good money or dont plan to do much to the car... dont buy it

I was thinking of doing something similar I wanted a Z32 N/A, but maintanaince is just so much more expensive and parts. Things like gas milage, servicing are a big deal to me. Good luck and that is a darn good price.

the na z's arent really that expensive to own. tt's are a different story. for the 60k theres a timing belt replacement so that alone will run you over 500. i would jump on it in a heartheat though, thats gotta be one of my favorite motors of all time.

Id go for the 300, no question about it. No offence to the SX people, but I'm a Z person.
If you want more power, go for the Z. :rawk:

Also, there was something about the early 1990 Zs that was faulty. They fixed it later in the year.
The problem with the early '90 Z32s was the 26mm brake rotors that were later changed to 30mm. They tend to warp easily, which causes steering wheel vibration while braking. Regardless, 6 grand for a 57K Z32TT is a steal. Buy it, do 60K service, drive it a few years and then resell for 6 grand at 100K. Thats when the major maintenance comes in like turbos wearing out.
