Sup guys i have a 89 hatch with a 95 ka24de and its time for a new clutch. What would be a good affordable clutch for my car. I daily drive it and take it to track on rare occasion.

It all depends how deep your pockets are. I have a spec stage 2 on my ka24de right now and I like it. They are cheap and fairly durable for the price you pay. If your not making huge power you can get away with less expensive clutches though the old adage is true, you get what you pay for. There are people here that swear by the big name expensive ones that cost more than a 89 hatch. Some people can't afford $1000+ for a clutch though, it all comes down to your needs. Have a look on ebay for full kits including or not including the lightweight flywheels. I have a spec stage 3, 6 puck with a 12lb flywheel that cost $400 to my door. I'm just waiting for a few more parts of my turbo setup to come in before I install them...

I bought my car with a bad clutch, a car buddy suggested I get a Spec stage 3 clutch, that was a mistake considering that my s13 is daily driven and most of the work ive done to it has been upgrades to the suspension, brakes, and drivetrain. Spec is a good brand, but if you dont have lots of hp and you daily drive it, I suggest a lower stage like 1 or 2.

Stage 1 Exedy, ACT, Clutch Masters.

Affordable yet enough strength for your weekend track. Obviously this is talking generically we don't know how you use your car. Balance it out with quality/funds/usage.
