Hey Zilvia,
I'm debating on which Z I should get but in the long run plan on swapping in a LS2 or LS3. But my main question is which one is lighter??
I've looked online and googled it but they all have different weights...
Anyone know what is the weight of the Z without the engine???
If any of you have links with specific info please do send.... Thanks:)

Who gives a fuck which one is lighter? The weight difference is minimal between chassis. What matters the most is that the Z34 chassis is better than Z33s in handling and is more balanced. Z33s weight anywhere between 3188-3247 lbs vs Z34s 3232-3314 lbs. The numbers change between trims and auto tranny.

I used to have a z but then dropped it to get a 240 to swap a RB26 but took that off now dropping a ls2 next year or so... Now I want a car that I can dd but like I said then swap in a ls2 or 3... Weight matters when your tracking the car... So I do give a fuck...lol. I like how aggressive the 370 looks but would it be worth dropping a LS in it?? Also the engine mounts are different than a 350z??

Cool story. I was looking at a Ferrari 430 but wanted to swap a twin turbo LS1 because I don't want to worry about reliability and maintenance. But then my friend said the extra weight would make it less ballanced...so maybe I'll just daily it as is and swap a 3-rotor later when I make it a track slut.

Cool story bro. I was looking at a Bugatti Veyron and wanted to drop 4 b16a's into it so I wouldn't have to worry about reliability issues with turbos

Cool story bro. I was looking into doing a Saleen S7 but I don't like the reliability and sound so I'm either going with the 5.0 or two rb26's so I wouldn't have to worry about the superchargers.

I like the 370Z over the 350Z. Although if I was getting a newer type car I'd be all over the G37 S coupe.

Cool story bro, I was looking at getting a new Audi R8 but I don't like the motor it comes with so I am going to put 2 5.9L cummins 24v engines in instead. With the diesels I won't have to worry about fuel consumption.
lol what a stupid fucking question the OP asked...

Completely agree. Get a Nismo Z33. Factory stitch welded chassis FTW.
The Z34's headlights and tails really keep it from looking truly desirable, IMO. But I do like the way the Z34's A-pillars create a wrap-around glass effect versus the Z33's. Only thing I'd really miss out on between those two choices is the Z34's trans with its Synchro Rev match feature.

why would you spend a ton more money on a z34? you can pick up running driving good condition 350z's for 9k nowadays, they're cheap. 370z's are much more, and if you're pulling the engine and doing suspension work, then it doesn't really matter....

If you really want a light z chassis, go get an s30 and drop an LSx... Way lighter than both :)

this made me lol hard.

The 370's have improved suspension geometry over the 350's. IMO the 350's were pretty under-achieving on-track. Weight doesn't matter because it's so close, that's not even relevant to your decision. The only reason NOT to choose the 370 is if you really don't like the looks of them. Personally I would take a 370 over a 350 any day of the week. At first the lights and "fangs" bothered the hell out of me, but after seeing more of them the 370's lines are just soooooo sexy. The 350's lines are pretty "meh". The Nismo bodykits on the 370's are SEX as well and get rid of the stupid "fangs" in the grille opening.
Cool story bro, cool stories suck ass so STFU about it already...

I think an ls-x or rb26 is too much motor for an s30x. I think a good motor would be an rb25 turbo or with individual throttle bodies from an rb26

Obviously not.
Cool story bros, I'll be locking this thread now since the OP was too lazy to do a simple Google search.
