So the engine finally came in the other day, and man was I surprised!
It came with the full wiring harness (uncut), Ecu, Motor mounts, Transmission, Shifter. And the thing is so damn clean!! I picked up a Greddy oil pan because the stock one is all dented up from shipping. The engine bay is completly stripped and sealed. Im just waiting to prime and paint it, I have the paint already and I've decided to paint the car white, so I bought all of the paint at once. Here are the pictures of the motor.

So the engine bay is finally painted...

It looks so amaizing. I am going to put one final coat of clear coat on it before the engine goes in. I am going to fix the rest of the body and then paint the whole car that color. But first the Sr20det goes in. Soon, very soon.I'll keep this updated.

Enjoy!

I just picked up a couple of more goodies while awaiting the engine bay being painted.

This is what I got:

B&M short shifter
Nismo 2way LSD

Racing helmet
Sparco Helmet bag

I just can't wait for when it is done.

I also talked to a guy at my work who has been welding for 25 years. He is going to TIG all of my intercooler piping for me. Im using Stainless Steel for the intercooler piping. I was going to use Stainless Steel for the exhaust but with the price it would make more sense to just buy an exhaust. So, I am using mild galvinized steel for the exhaust. And later down the road when I upgrade the turbo to a Garrett GT28RS, I am going to fabricate a stainless steel equal length exhaust manifold.

It is great having these sorts of resources at your fingertips.

More to come!

Here is some pictures of some new toys that I got. Yesterday I ripped apart the whole interior. We drilled the the holes for the clutch parts and mounted them. I took out the interior to get to the carpet. Damn that was a pain in the ass. I had to cut some of the carpet towards the front of the car under the dash to get it out. I left it outside and there was like 3" of water in the back seat. And seeds got in and there was little trees growing in the carpet. So the carpet is out and the dash, seats, molding. So before the engine bay gets another coat of paint, engine goes in, I am going to deep clean the piss out of the carpet and interior pannels. So here are some pics of the things that I got. However, I think I am screwed with the diff. I dont know if I have to get the output shafts for the car to make it work.

Does any one know what driveshafts I need to make this thing work. and, does any one have them??

So here's some updates on the project.

Tuesday I found out that the Nismo Lsd I bought was the 2 way cluctch type. Also I found out that It was for a 240sx without an OEM lsd. So it will fit. Tuesday night we repainted the engine bay. It looks amaizing. We did the auto to manual swap and everything is ready on the car end of the swap. The wiring harness is all set and ready for the engine. I started working on the car at 6:00pm and I didn't finish working on it until 4:00am.During that time I also ripped out the interior and cleaned the carpet. I powerwashed and degreased the carpet because there was little sprouts of plants in the back of the carpet.

Wednesday I started to prep the engine. I removed the AC compressor and sealed it up for cleaning. Then I cleaned it for about 6 hours. The engine looks brand new. It looks like it has a new block and a new head. All of the aluminum on the engine looks brand new. I might take off the valve cover and repaint it. I was fooling around with the idea of painting it the same color as the engine bay of my car. I also machined a spark cover plate out of aluminum, polished it up and sprayed it with a clear coat with flake it in. It looks so sweet. Then I took off the transmission to check out the clutch. The clutch doesnt look stock. It is a round clutch but the contact pads are spaced out like a aftermarket clutch. The clutch is in perfect condition. It has been hardly used.

So today I am dropping the engine in. Then it is the task of making the intercooler piping and exhaust. I found a driveshaft for the swap to be complete so that is covered. It is almost done!! I am taking pictures today and I will post them.

I will keep this updated!

Looks like fun. dont forget to leave the intake manifold brace off, or else you will have a hell of a time changing your filter.

Hey thanks for the tip, I never thought of the brace getting in the way of the oil filter. I am painting the rest of the car white, the same white as the engine bay. But not for a little bit. I would like to drive the car before I start fixing it again. More pictures to come!

Well heres another update. Well three days left until the drift competion. I want to get it done before then. I have to get insurance, plates. the exhaust, intercooler piping done and then it will be ready to go. Oh i need to put in the driveshaft, and i need to get a fender for it. I have quite a lot to do before then but I can get it done. In two days the engine went in, the wiring all done, and everything put back that was taken out of the engine bay for painting. The Trans is in, shifter, Power steering lines all went in. I will be posting pictures quite soon so we will see. On the valve cover the raised lettering was quite nasty looking. So I took some sand paper to it and polished it up. And I am working on a spark plug cover for the Sr20 that is like the stock one but it is made out of aluminum. It will have the Intercooler turbo letters in it but I am thinking about machining the Nissan logo in the valve cover as well, I will keep this updated. And pictures to come!

Well i tried and worked really hard to get my car working for the drift event on Sunday, Well it didnt happen. I got everything else done but there was a section missing in the clutch line. So I was screwed. So now I am going to paint my intercooler piping the same color as my engine bay with a flake in the clear coat. But I was working on the spark plug cover and I got all of the lettering done. Heres what I got so far.

I still need to get pictures of my car after it is done So the updates with the pictures will be here in a few.
