Hi guys,
I have changed 2 brand new batteries and found out that my brake lights are ON. I even turned off ignition and have my key pulled out, brake lights still ON.:naw:
I was told from a friend that sometime, if you sitted tuned car for a long time, it might caused the problem. Any clue guys?
(english is my second language, keep this possitive, I need to have this issue solved)
Thanks, Kevin

There is a rubber button kind of thing on the brake pedal. When it gets old it gets hard and falls off. But a bolt and nut and your good to go

What future said.
Another way is to duck tape a penny over the old spot :D
That's what I did, but make sure to tape it good..

Seriously? Look under the dash and look at the brake pedal. There's a switch that it pushes on when the pedal is all the way up. On the pedal itself, where the switch is touching, there should be a rubber piece. More than likely, that rubber piece is gone and you have an open hole, so nothing is pushing on that switch. Get something to plug that hole so itll push up on that switch. People above me already said what they used. Personally, I'd get a short screw and nut so its permanent.

if they are staying on after you turn the ignition off then it might also be something to do with something behind the cluster. google it and you'll find it. First I had an issue with my brake lights NOT going on and turns out I was missing the little thing everyone else mentioned. so that fix it for a while, then one day I park the car and the lights wouldn't turn off, so I had to unplug my battery. I searched and found out eith something in back of the dash, to be honest I don't know what I did to fix it but it was fixed, and it's been working great since. I'll try to find the articles where this was suggested.
