Well i was out a few nights ago in my car
96 S14 w/ redtop SR 14 Lbs FMIC exhaust etc etc.
When i pull up to a light with a brand new silver Aston Martin Vantage DB7 with a V12. So these two middle aged guys are looking over at my car and laughing, so i laugh and smile minding my own buisness. Then they rev there engine and continue to laugh. So we have a little dialogue and decide to race rolling after we pass the trafic light on the oppisite side.

When we punch it in 1st i pull ahead by a bumper, 2nd i pull ahead a little more (my rear tire is at his bumper) when i throw third i pull ahead by a full car, and its that way up until 115 MPH (damn it!!!!!!!!).

when we get to the next ligth he asks me what happen and i tell him my speed limiter saved you. Hes like thats fast for a 4 cyl, and i say yeah and it didnt gost 140 grand.

one thing though that is the most sexy sounding engine i have ever heard

not that I doubt your story but i HIGHLY doubt it was one of the V12 DB7s that you raced. thats a 435hp engine in those things. They are heavy but not THAT heavy. and very limited production. only like 150 cars or something iirc.

according to google v12 db7 weighs 3924 lbs and the 96 s14 weighs 2848 lbs, thats 1000 lbs difference.

End result: I'm laughing out loud, Bike rider gives us thumbs up, 355 driver stops by us side by side at light with a broken ego and does only thing capable of posing in a expensive sports car other then trying to look good, a 10 ft burnout. That made it even funnier.

GSracer - reread my original post. i said I didnt doubt you ran or even beat an Aston. I questioned whether or not it was definately a V12 you ran because there are no real visual clues on a DB7 that indicate it. I also know the HP figures of the V12 DB7 and can guesstimate your approximate HP level. knowing all of that and from a rolling start it dosent add up to me that you beat a V12 DB7. you say you saw it and it is in fact a V12. fine I cant contridict you because I've seen neither car. if I was calling you a liar I'd have raised the B.S. Flag smilie all over this place. I figured you raced an I6 DB7 and one. That would numerically make more sense, sine the supercharged six puts out around 335-385 (depending on which model year it is)

and now seein gyour mod list i ralize i was being way to generous with your HP level. and now i have to :bs: from a roll even with the auto... on a roll he would destroy you unless one of two things. 1. he cant drive for shit, and if he reved an automatic at you I dont rule this out OR 2. he was just playing with you. all he had to do was stand on the gas and youd be history. with your mods i'll give you 250hp max. we'll use the curb weights YOU posted 2890, he had 435 (thats actually BHP) and weighs 3980.. 0-60 in less that 5 seconds? yeah you beat a V12

steeles- im not saying you did call me a liar ( i implied it though =-) but for real, belive me i dont think or didnt think it was possible either , i checked on line the second i got home and they run low 13s according to most websites ive seen, and im very doubtful of my car at times, i did not know it was a v12 at the time till i saw it the next day. i have beat porsche 911 carreras (non turbo) and they run low 13s too. Who knows maybe he is a bad driver (automatic pathetic) or my car is really fast but i wouldnt know since ive never dynoed it or ran it at the track,

13.4 at 105 with a 6 spped manual, if seen many 240sr's with mild upgrades run that at the local track. I really wouldn't call this a kill since the atmoshpere would leave some people in a 150K to drive carefully.....meaning the guy would have OWN3D you if it was on the highway (no cars around) or ON THE TRACK. BTW...I'd advise that you should be very careful. Either way..glad you got upclose with such a nice car.
