UPDATED PICS IN LAST POST
Well, I think it's time to move on to something different. I really want a ls1 swapped chassis, but ill entertain anything that isn't fwd. I've been building this car for a little over a year, but I've lost interest in the build, so I'm looking for something else to play with. I had originally had intentions of making this a 900+hp street car, hence the purchase of the ppg trans. It's overkill for the current engine setup, but leaves room for a future extreme horsepower build. The car isn't 100% finished, it's a running, driving reliable car, but still retains factory open differential, the tach isn't calibrated for the rb25, and it still doesn't make 900 hp, things I would all change if I had intended to keep it haha.
Chassis background-
The car is a 1994 240sx convertible. One of less than 2000 produced that year, and one of less than 280 in this color. The chassis has 87,000 original miles, and is in great shape. No frame rail rust, no door rust, no shock tower rust, simply no rust. The frame rails are all straight and not mashed up from improper jack placement, along with the seam weld along both sides. the top and back window are both in great shape. The dash is uncracked, all gauges work except for the tach, which is off by about 1000 rpms. There's no back seat, but a rear seat delete was made for a clean look. Black leather s2000 seats up front. Full interior aside from rear seat. It was originally automatic, as all convertibles left the factory this way. It was converted with all oem parts ad a stainless steel clutch line. The body is in great shape. It has a few small dings, but no dents, and no large scratches. The paint is also in great shape. It has all stock body panels. Cosmetically the only modification is origin tail lights.
Suspension/brakes/wheels
The only suspension modification is fortune auto 500 series coilovers and a Cusco strut bar. It has all stock control arms, tension rods, tie rods, etc. This may change in the few weeks and be replaced by spl arms. Brakes are stock 4 lug in the rear, with z32/z33 combo up front with stainless lines and z32 master cylinder. Front rotors have been redrilled for 4 lug hubs. Wheels are rota p45r 17x9.5 +12 offset. (Yeah I know, 6,000$ transmission with fake wheels? I hear it all the time hahaha) tires are 225/40/17 nitto 555r up front and 225/45/17 continental extreme contact in the rear. The car will also come with a complete set of 18x9 authentic 3 piece HRE 525s. They aren't on the car because I haven't gone 5 lug yet. But there's the missing baller wheels!
Engine/transmission/clutch
The motor is a Rb25det series 2 long block. Factory internals, apexi head gasket, arp head studs, forward facing intake manifold, polished/painted valve covers, all new engine gaskets, and all brand new timing components with n1 oil pump and new water pump. The motor is currently on stock turbo, but included in the sale will be a 3582r completely rebuilt by San Diego forced induction, with polished compressor housing. 0 miles, never installed, and a brand new top mount manifold with 38mm external wastegate. I chose to run the motor on stock turbo and stock ecu/injectors over the winter and install the new turbo setup when it warms up. The car is on stock injectors but comes with hks 555 cc injectors. The trans is a ppg unit with straight cut 1st - 4th with a standard 5th. As previously stated, I intended for this cars end result to be a 900 hp street car with hopes of using it in the Texas mile, but so much for that. The trans is overkill, but is an amazing unit. It puts out that notorious rally car whine, such a menacing sound. The throw out bearing, pilot bearing, clutch, and flywheel are all new. The clutch is a stage 3+ spec unit. The car had a twin disc, but I took it out when I put this new motor in. The motor Is bolted in with McKinney mounts and a driveshaft shop one piece steel driveshaft.
Electronics/ecu
The wiring harness is a wiring specialties complete harness. The battery is relocated to the trunk, with a security kill switch. The ecu is a nistune unit, with type two board. Completely stand alone tuning capabilities. Pulls 11.2 afrs under wot with current tune. Aem wideband, cobalt boost gauge, and a safc2 just to monitor voltage and such. I'm sure there's alot of things I'm missing but you'll see them if you look at the car in person.
Included with sale
~HRE 525s-18x9 +35 offset
~rb25 s2 block, head, two intakes, exhaust manifold, and all accessories, that was the old motor, it lost compression in 2 cylinders, but block is savable
~stock ecu and nistune ecu with software and consult cable
~Top mount manifold and gt3582r with fresh rebuild
~lots of spare tires
~stock back seats
~and every single other stock part i have from this aside from stock ka and trans, those are both now boat anchors lol
Price-trades
I'm looking for 11k or best offer. It may seem high for a s13, but considering the parts in the car, I think it's fair. The trans alone was $6100. And yes I have the build sheet for the trans. I'm also entertaining trades, but nothing fwd. I don't know how to drive those haha. Only awd or rwd. Tons of pics available upon request.
