I ordered some volk 17x9 and 17x10 volk CE28N rims last week. The offset for the front and back is 28 or 29. I have some cheap coilovers and tokicko shocks on too with R32 front brakes and 300zx rear brakes. Do you think the offset is fine because I want it to have a flush look with some good size tires for traction because im defiently gonna need it. Will the front rims clear or should I have gotten a higher offset? Need some advice asap because they cost so damn much and I don't want them to go to waste if they don't fit but I gotta wait 3 months anyways because they are special order.

Those should work fine. I'd go with a 225/45 up front and a 245/45 out back if you like bigger tires.

Ok I got them changed to 10 all around. This is for a S13 1990 RB26 hatchback btw. They don't have anything in between 10 and 29. I forgot to mention that I will have 50mm wide rear fenders and 20mm wide front fenders. I just found out what offset is cuz im new to buying rims so it should look good with wider fenders im guessing since lower offset moves the center of the wheel to the left right?

With fenders like that, you will not be flush, front is close, but the back is not.

Oh Noooooo!!! You sunk my battleship!!! Be sure to post pics when you get them. Ordering wheels without knowledge of offset and rocking 50mm wide fenders? That's an awesome combo.

So ya think this combo should look aight? The people I ordered from speed factor said it would look better with a lower offset but I dunno cuz I never ordered aftermarket rims before datz why I'm asking so I don't make a big mistake.

The front wheels will extend out about 68mm more then stock. The rears will extend out about 80mm more.

Steeles, is that the same offset calculator you posted?

Sweet moses... you could fit 10 +29 in the rear with a slightly pulled fender; it's going to be sunken like a mofo.
The fronts will be close, could be better though...
Try and change your order to 10 +15-20 in the front and 11 +0 in the rear.
If you can't, get yourself a pair of the biggest spacers you can find...
Edit: On second thought, if you want to put some meats on there, you might just want to change the rears to an 11 +10-15 or so, to have enough room for tires.

Aight it isn't too late to change my order but they said they can only get offsets 10 and 29 which doesn't seem right because I looked at some sites and they can get 22 offset for those rims. I'm probably gonna have to run small spacers no matter what but its no biggie. Thx for everyones help though I appreciate it.

Actually would 17x8 and 17x10's be a better combo for my car? Would this combo create massive understeer? The suspension will be changed eventually dang. Probably before I get these rims because they take 3 months to get.

stay with the original plan man
dont get 8 wide in front.... ill have russ stab you
With 20mm front fenders and 50mm rear fenders, I would get the following:
18*9 -10 front
18*10 offset between -5 and -15) rear
if 18" aren't to your liking, then consider getting them in 17".
What kind of power are you planning on pushing? or is this going to be all stock under the hood plus obx coilovers plus $$$$ wheels and body kit?

I plan on pushing around 600+rwhp on pump gas. I'm unsure of what combo I should go with so I put the rim order on hold. I was told wider tires will get the same traction as small tires so I'm now wandering if I should just go with small rims like 17x8 and 17x9 just to make sure they fit right. Is there any advantage with going with wider rims/tires or is it mostly just for looks? I'm just worried bout getting traction because I know I'm gonna need it.

Wider rims will allow you to run wider tires, which will give you more traction. Getting 17x8, 17x9s will only worsen the situation, You will have to run a much much lower offset. If anything I would go wider instead of skinnier. Wider wheels are not just for looks, Drag cars don't run wider wheels just for looks, it gives them more traction. Stay with the 17x9, 17x10 with the 10 offset.
