I need some tires for my 14 pretty badly. I can tell the rears are pretty bald just by feeling them, adn the car oversteers and drifts way too easily.
So I really need some new ones. I want some tires that will still be OK for drifting onece in a while, but not ones that make my car drift when I don't want it to, like what happens now. I'm really looking for some tires that will be good for grip driving on the mountain passes, backroads, and a bit of track, etc.
What should I be looking at?

i keep hearing bad things about yokos es100s, too many bad stories with wear and grip. maybe its all personal , accidental experiences. why not try Kumho Mx? thats my next tire, or maybe Azenis ?

i love my ES100s. I've had my front ones for over 6 months (daily and some events) and haven't noticed much wear at all. But I feel the dunlop FM901s on my spare advans have more grip, wears out faster and fades faster it seems than the yokos. I ocasionally use them on the rear to drift and you can brake it lose, although it hurts me to do it.
I don't think you can go wrong with azenis either.

also a great way to get cheap tires is to pick up used ones at your local tire shop...i've found great tires with 70% + tread remaining for $20 a pop...hard to beat..
Es100 are a very popular choice. I got them in the front on my S13, and the rear are Kumho Ecsta 712. The Es100 is definitely a good tire for your money. I'm getting new tires on my Hachi today. Toyo Proxes T1-S. They are more pricey than the Es100 but are way better dry and they are one of the best wet tires available. For cheap thrills if you dont care about wear get the AZENIS. If you are considering the T1-S i'll let you know how they feel.
