Im testing waters on my 97' 240sx. It has a clean title with 215k original miles on the KA. It was painted 350z Brilliant silver including the engine bay and door jams. Has 350z wheels on new Falken tires with 1k on them. S14a grille, nismo short throw shifter, nismo tension rods, nismo rack n pinion, z32 tokico brake master cylinder, silvia wing, coilovers, stage 2 spec clutch. Very clean kouki.

I just put new rear rotors and pads in the rear and evo 9 brembo calipers with the evo 9 rotors up front. Stopping power is amazing. I still have the evo 9 brembos for the rear as well with rotors.

215k well maintained is nothing for a KA. Even not being an SE being a true 97-98 Kouki is a rarity at least on this side of the country.

Don't tempt me,lol it took me 3 years to find myself a 98 SE as clean as mine. So fortunate to even find service records from day 1 under the back seats.

I have no special need for the car and would be happy to finish the build but someone else really wants the car I have no problem letting it go. It's very clean so the right buyer will come around instead of knit picking people who waste there time with criticism

Just to clarify, so you are in the "know", what makes a "stock" kouki (or zenki) super special and worth big $$$ is original stuff. Like original paint, original carpet, original engine, original wiring, original dash, original body panels, original vin tags, original steering wheel, original well you get the point.

The minute you paint a car you can hide body damage, even small dings and dents with body work. having original paint is a HUGE selling point because you can prove that its never been hit or damaged. Once you paint... you better have before and after pictures of the paint job or good luck trying to convince everyone that its never been hit.


Now, some stuff doesnt matter. Like plastic radio trim, door panels, subframe bushings, certain plastic clips, you know, things that go wrong on all 240s and are easy to fix. In fact, I would be super suspicious (super srs) if the power steering didnt leak on a 240, for instance. It absolutely has to leak PS fluid or I walk away. Kind of kidding, but srs.
