Ok - here it is: 95 SE /w factory security system.

Factory alarm keeps going off at random times for absolutely no reason. I cannot just pull the breaker for it because then the car wont start (obviously)

I have a feeling (although im not certain exactly how 240 alarms work) that the vibration senser (again..if there is one) is off its rocker.

Is there a way to disable the factory alarm and possibly still have a running car? If so, is it a matter of unplugging some electronics or am i going to be doing some creative wiring?

PLEASE HELP!!! the damn thing is going off as i type this - AGAIN!

Thanks,
Al

my cheesey alarm went off at random times and it turned out i needed a new battery. those alarms can drain batteries quite well.

the next time it goes off... put your key in the driverside door and turn it clockwise and hold it for like 5 secs that should deactivate it.

I know this is an old thread but...
I have the same problem.
Hey formerRicer, how would you reactivate it, in case it messes with any of the cars electronics.
Thanks!

Ground the disarm wire. Does nothing to any other system in the car.
