I searched all over every forums I know of and could not find a somewhat straight answer. How much does it cost to ship a transmission? Anybody have any past experiences? I know i'm not the only one who has ever shipped a tranny. Please share your costs with me. Are their any companies that specialize in shipping bulky parts like a transmission? I want the cheapest\most reliable way to ship it.

trucking/freight companies. Prolly $75-$150 depending on how far. Plus it will have to be secured down to a pallett.

I bought a tranny from jhot and it cost me 60 dollars to ship but that was to a business so thats why it was cheaper. It was shipped by a company called sefl, they shipped it on a pallet. It was a very fast shipment i paid and got it 2 days later. Check out the freight liner companies, try to ship it to a business address and it will save you on some costs. Try searching on yahoo and type in sefl and you should find the companies website where you can get a qoute.
