Hey All,
I'm having problem where my 95' SE S14 doors automatically unlock themselves after i have locked them using the lock switch on the door or pressing the "arm" button on my aftermarket alarm.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my aftermarket alarm malfunctioning or with the factory alarm? I thought by installing an aftermarket alarm the person would disarm the factory alarm, however i heard that go off today as well for the 1st time !

Can somebody please shed some light?

Just ruled out the aftermarket alarm posotibility as I removed the lock/unlock wires from the aftermarket alarm and it still unlocked itself.

I hear a clicking noise from under the dash when it happens. The driver will unlock and about 5 seconds after the passenger unlocks as well. Is that clicking coming from smart entrance control unit? Could that be faulty causing my doors to unlock? Could it be a faulty lock/window switch?

For my alarm system on an s13, I had to install a relay for the door locks. And if i remove the relay the door would lock. So maybe the relay or the wiring to the relay or the lack of a relay etc.

Thank you for the input! I will def check this out.
I'm not 100% sure if the dude who installed the alarm has a separate relay for this but i will most def check it out.

-________- i want to fix this before christmas

UPDATE:

Went ahead and opened up the SECU to inspect it.
Could this be causing a malfunction ?

UPDATE:

Took a brush and some hydrogen peroxide (I didn't have alcohol lol) and managed to clean that gunk off the tracks as well as the processor. I accidentally knocked off that little silver capacitor next to the blue capacitor while trying to clean it.

SO FAR (cross my fingers) it hasn't unlocked on me yet! I'll keep updating this post later on. Could help others out as well.

UPDATE 12/6/12

Doors still not unlocking which is AWESOME, however 1 minor problem lol

Something weird tho, say i park my car turn the car to the off position (stays on for 30 sec turbo timer), hit the switch on the door to lock it as i get out of the vehicle. Once the car is off, i can then click my "lock/arm" button on my alarm. Everything is good. Now when i want to get back into my car i hit the "unlock/disarm" on my alarm to unlock the door however this sets off the factory alarm hah! the funny thing is, i tried looking for the factory alarm brain and it's nowhere to be found?!?!

I didn't have a security light so I'm not sure if mine was illuminated or not. After i cleaned that dirty mess from the SECU & accidentally broke the capacitor the problem went away lol! You should open yours up to see if maybe the same thing is happening.
