Topic says it all. I'm gonna wait and see what y'all post. I've got one, but it'll probably be topped.
Mine'll definately be topped but one night just weeks after I got my car I was trying to show off for a friend and attempted a high speed (40mph in 2nd) drift and I actually pulled it off but right at the end when the front wheels gripped it spun me around 180 and sent me backwards towards a curb. Kinda a weak story but still pretty scary.

One time I was driving my previous car about 60 MPH in a 30 MPH zone. I tAXI driver cut me off forcing me to crash into a parked car. It was raining and my wheels locked up, My heart was in my ass while my car didnt want to come to a stop and was heading really, really fast into the parked car. Nothing happened to my 240, except for the fact that the other day I had it parked in front of my building and when I came out to get in ym car to go to work somebody crashed into my car. Thats not endangering my life but it sure as #### is making my money endangered cause now I have to buy a new door and get it painted and the whole 9. About 5 hundred total.

Following another list member during a pass on a 2 lane highway at night. . passing one Acura, and two semis (Acura then the semis)...
I was next to the back of the cab on the last truck, and he flashes his lights as a warning, then busts over in front of the truck, completing the pass (barely)..
I look up and see a car in my lane (yeah he was in MY lane I swear lol) anyway. . it was too late to pass, I was going over 100 mph, so I slam on the brake and get as far to the right as I could... felt like I was UNDER the trailer (I know my car won't actually fit, but I'm sure at least my mirror was). .
We passed, but I have no idea how.
That sucked.

Speedracer: I take it you didn't find the guy that hit your car?
I don't really have any stories with my 240, I've been pretty good with it so far. Other than that... I've been in one bad accident (no-one was hurt, but it was a lot of damage) we were coming up on an intersection and went through a yellow light. Well... a truck on the other side ran his red, so we swerved around him, but for some reason, the old lady in the lane next to him decided to litterally floor it into us. We must have been about 15 feet from her, and from a stop she got going to about... I'd say close to 20 miles per hour, and slammed into the side of us, sending us into a 180 into a parking lot. Now this really pissed me off by itself, but the thing that really did it, is the cop gave my friend (he was driving) a ticket for running a red, and said the accident was our fault! supposedly a police chief who said he was behind her and saw the whole thing happen told him the story, thing is, he wasn't actually behind her, he was behind us. He lied about the shit, I couldn't believe it!
Only other thing that scared me (nowhere near as good) is the first time I ever tried doing donuts in my truck, I was in a parking lot with some snow on the ground, and I put the pedal to the metal and cut the wheel to the left. I spun twice and by the time I came to a standstil, the truck was bouncing from side to side. I could have sworn I almost tipped it. I'm sure I didn't, but it sure felt like it.

this was the only crash i've been in so it's scary for me at least...
i had just got off work from the BX (military department store)...and the parking lot is divided into two lots by a middle road...well, i was driving down the road in my dad's car...i don't know why i wasn't driving the 240 at the time...but anyways, i was on the middle road following the speed limit for a change and an MPV was about to exit the parking lot onto the middle road...well, they were supposed to yield but i guess she thought she could beat me...so she gunned it...and ended t-boning me on the driver's side...i was stuck in between the door and the driver's seat and couldn't get out until the paramedics and police came...they told me that they estimated her speed to be about 35mph...well, i dont know if that's going to be topped but i was scared shitless at the time...

Tales of the S13
Rainy Night
One night a friend and I went "drifting" through some turns. On the way back to my apartment from all the good roads is a right hand turnoff into an immediate left, making somewhat of an S-turn. For some silly reason I decided I was good enough to link a couple "drifts" together, so I head into the initial turn sideways, get off the gas and swing the car the other way, but get on the gas a tad too hard (or the open diff is just like that).... car swings around 270 degrees so the car is travelling to the left I decide at some moment that I don't want to get stuck in the middle of the road and get hit by another car, so I pop it in reverse, still sliding, and attempt to get off the road. Little did I know that there happened to be a drainage ditch at one point..... slid right into it. Thankfully, with some rope and my roomate's Integra, we were able to get my car out.
Highway
This is actually one of my "I'm a good driver, see" stories . Coasting down a highway on the way to an airport with 2 passengers (my two best friends), I'm taking it pretty easy (relatively... 90'ish) in the right hand lane (highway is pretty open). I start comming up on a group of cars so I figure I'll stay in the lane untill I see a gap. There's a couple cars on the left, and one in my lane, the middle is open, so I switch lanes. It just so happens that a Saturn decides to switch lanes from the left lane to pass the car in front of him at the same time. He comes into the lane, I swerve to the right, but then there's the car I'm trying to pass, so I hit the brakes and attempt to dodge... the motions somehow get the car to start sliding and as soon as I know it I'm looking straight at the saturn. I hear one of my friends put his hand on the ceiling to brace himself, the other is just laying across the back seat (I dunno why I noticed this at that time....). On the throttle, off the throttle, and a little brakes.... some odd combo and a few quick motions later the car is straightening out. All my friend in the passenger seat can say is "Cool." (later we determined they were used to getting sideways in my car).
Death of an S13
Coming back from a hockey game with 2 teammates on a highway, coming around a slow left, I hit a HUGE patch of ice and the car spins (going pretty slow... clutch was low since I let my sister borrow my car. My sister lives in NYC, never drives, and barely knew stick). As soon as the ice ends the car catches traction and spins the other way, as I'm slowly getting closer to the snowbank flying by my windshield. For some reason, instead of hitting reverse like I was able to before, I just slam the brakes and give up. It was seriously one of the biggest mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. The car continues to slide, and rotates so the rear hits the snowbank at an angle and spins the car in a quick 180. The impact pushes everything in my rear end in and up, cracking some part of the gas tank, and fugging my car up for good.
Although, if it wasn't for this, I wouldn't have had insurance money and the need for the S14
Maybe if I take another break later (finals week...) I'll post a few S14 stories.

LoL... I forgot about the story of me racing my S13 vs my roomate's Integra... ending up with me winning, and getting pulled over at 100mph+ in a 40mph zone at 3am...... and getting out of it because the cop had to go to the bathroom (one could say he was... pissed)
Getting pulled over was one scary moment I'll never forget (loss of license, arrest, impound car, etc..... street racing... ####... )

Me and a friend went on a mini road trip to San Franciso.....from Los Angeles.
I was driving at about 105mph....wind was blowing at us at 12mph (it gets windy in that area with the wind mills...duh) then all of a sudden the hood flies up, smashes the winshield, and caves the roof in a little......my heart skiped a beat on that one....funny thing is that it seems like slow motion.......afterwards, me and my friends were laughing so hard about it...he farted...and that made us laugh even more........ahhh.... that was a crazy day.

Speaking of hitting walls....
OMG, one really stupid friend......well, he wanted to peel out in front of his ex-girlfriends house....I guess to
patch up his ego from getting hurt or whatever, well anyway, he is going stright in a dead end strett....I tell him slow down......then he is pressing the brakes....they went out......hit the back wall of a local bowling alley at 30mph....like crash dummies.....that was also a scary one.....I forget about it...until now...hope I can sleep well
so im driving to school and im a knucklehead i HAVE NO CLUE WHAT I WAS THINKING!!!!! first: one of my rear wheels was older than the other and it had a bit less tread on it.... then... i had crappy tires.... n e ways im coming to an intersectin on campus and i decide i dont want to stop so i take the turn fast at like 45 get caught into a drift and shift my auto into first by mistake and the wheels never stopped spinning till i smashed into the curb the scary part was that when i first entered the drift my car pointed DIRECTLY at a fiero and i saw the look on the guys face! :o :o :o :o !! it was hella scary!

ok... this experience nearly ties for the worst experience in my life/dumbest thing i have EVER done...we had both had way too much t odrink in addition to having consumed certain controlled substances, one of which can make an experience like this all the much more frightening. anyways, we were very bored, and had the idea of going to a large empty grocery store parking lot to push around shopping carts. what we did was ease up behind shopping carts, rest them on the front bumper, then punch it, and stomp on the brakes around 45-50mph, and watch the carts go flying (yes, i realize this is an unsafe, immature, and extremely stupid thing to do). anyways, my friend almost wrecked the car, so i made him quit driving. I got behind the wheel and vaguely remember actually talking to the shopping carts, which my friend later confirmed. so we got up behind one loose one, and i had the car up to maybe 30, when all of a sudden my friend says "COP, COP, COP", and i look over to the left, and there is one police car pulling into the parking lot off of the street. theres a small building sort of inbetween us, so i just let the cart go, slowed down, and pulled off onto the other street. i just drove like nothing was wrong at all...the cop followed us down the street for about 5 minutes, and then just slammed on his brakes and did a u-turn. all the time i had been on the verge of shitting myself, knowing that i was gonna get stuck with all sorts of charges i didnt want, have aparticularly bad experience downtown, be in alot of trouble with my mom and what not. i couldn't believe it when he just turned around, relieved doesnt begin to describe it.
anyways, yes, we were stupid to be doing this, and stupid to be out and about while intoxicated in the first place. I havent driven intoxicated in any way since, and dont plan on doing it ever again, either. it was very nice of the police officer to give 2 stupid kids just arseing around a break, i guess he was one once too

the dumbest thing i did in my car was race some eclipse on a mile long bridge (I 10). its between ms and al. I got up to about 110 when we hit the bridge and i dont know what we were doing when we were about to get off but... i kept checking to see how close he was and he was about 4 car lengths behind and there were 2 cars in his lane so i figured he would soon let off so he wouldn't hit them.. so i just kept looking at him waiting for him to let off and didn't know that the 2nd car pulled in front of me.. when i noticed we just off the brige and i had no time to slow down and no where to go... i kept tapping my breaking to keep from going into a slide and then put the car in 3rd to help it slow down... by now i was on the other cars ass and had no choice.. i pulled off the road and held it thru the grass.. it scared the piss out of me.. i just sat in the ditch for a few minutes thinking how lucky i was not to see that car a second later... not much time to think when going over 110 mph.... makes you wonder how indy cars do it.. no damage happened to my car but i bet that guy in eclipse thought i was a big dumbass.. now when i race i never look at the other car..

i thought the dude in the CLK @ Le Mans died. pretty sad. that was in '99.
i think the Porsche driver @ Petit Le Mans survived, tho. his crash didnt look as bad as the benz.
(Edited by onebadm5 at 11:26 am on Dec. 16, 2001)
The dude in the CLK did not die. I watched the race live on speedvision when it happened. He actually got himself out of the car b4 anybody could get to him. I think he broke his arm or something minor like that but he walked away from the wreck. The car ended up on its wheels, dono how it hit exactly, but ended up on its wheels, so the top didn't crunch in or anything.

In three separate incidences, a CLR blew over and crashed down nearly destroying the car(left). The first occurred during Thursday's qualification session when Mark Webber piloting the No. 4 Mercedes flipped at the second kink in the run between the Mulsanne corner and Indianapolis; a section in which the cars are going as fast as down the Mulsanne straight, a lightning fast 320 kilometers per hour. Webber was thankfully unhurt and the car was towed back to the pits to be repaired but pole position was gone. If the car could be fixed in time for the morning warm up, it would be allowed to take the start.
The next day was a day off for the teams in order to prepare for the race, giving Mercedes time to rebuild the car. Nevertheless, the mechanics must have been up all night fixing the crumbled CLR. But, on Saturday morning, one of the first cars lined up to take to the track for warm up was the No. 4 Mercedes with none other than Mark Webber at the wheel. Near the end of the session, the No. 4 Mercedes was scrapping along the race track on its roof. This time it occurred at the Mulsanne Hump where Webber was following slower traffic when suddenly the nose came up and the car did a flip on to its back. Our friend Mark must have thought to himself when he was in midair, "Not Again!" Needless to say, the No. 4 was out for good and had flipped Webber for the last time. Now it was time for Mercedes team managers to cross their fingers and pray that it was either a problem with only the No. 4 car or that it was a fluke that the air got underneath the car twice in a row and not a fundamental flaw in the design of the CLR as a whole.
Under tremendous pressure, Mercedes opted to keep the Nos. 5 and 6 in the race. This decision proved to be disastrous. At dusk, the No. 5 Mercedes flipped right at the same spot where Webber had flipped the first time. This spectacular crash was caught on film and beamed back live to millions of homes in the world. The now infamous images of the Mercedes flipping end over end like a Matchbox model and landing in the forest after disappearing into the trees have made history and must make Mercedes personnel cringe to think about it. Miraculously the driver, Peter Dumbreck was uninjured in the crash but was now part of the lucky duo who made up the Mercedes Mile High Club. As a result, the No. 6 and sole remaining Mercedes was withdrawn minutes after the incident.
The actions of Mercedes in 1999 were understandable. Faced with a mountain to climb in order to beat Toyota and known for their German efficiency, Mercedes could not afford to give up. It was a price they paid for gambling with everything: money, pride, and human lives. In all probability Mercedes won't be back to Le Mans for a very long time, if ever. It is truly sad that one of the world's greatest marques has either had spectacular success or equally spectacular disaster!

Alright, here goes mine.
When I was 17, my friend Mike and I took a road trip from Coeur d' Alene, to Boise, Idaho. We took H95, and for those who know, it's one of the most dangerous roads in the country, and follows canyons and rivers. Beautiful curves to play on if you don't have traffic.
So there's this Ford Probe behind us, riding our ass trying to pass us. He does, and immediately rides another guy's ass until he gets to pass again. So we think, fuck him, lets chase him down.
We catch up to the guy right as we're going into a curvy section, and we're doing about 90 trying to catch him. I should mention this was in my 87 Mazda B2000 longbed pickup. (2wd)
We're getting right up to him, and then we realize there are some turns ahead. Immediately ahead. We slow down to 70 miles an hour, and I go into this corner with a yellow 45 caution diamond sign at that speed.
Road background: River on one side, with a concrete divider running all the way on the right side. Two lane highway in the first place. The other lane has about 6 inches of shoulder. Very narrow, very close driving.
So I go into the corner and this was rush hour, so it's straight bumper to bumper traffic. Not city bumper to bumper, just lots of cars following each other up the road.
Anyway, the rear end immediately sticks out, and I thought it was going to hit the concrete divider, and then the front wheels start sliding, and my truck is pointed at a 45 degree angle towards the traffic in the next lane. I steered all the way around the corner in a four wheel drift, giving throttle to push it through. First time I'd really drifted on pavement. Dirt all the time, but the truck usually stuck to the road like glue, due to it's long wheelbase and gutless engine.
We're talking a good left hander. Not a gentle curve at all. We come out of the corner and we pull off at the next available pull-out spot. Mike and I are both shitting ourselves, even though it was so cool, and we made it, it's like holy shit. So I let Mike drive for a while and we made it to Boise.
I haven't had anything very scary in my 240 yet. The worst was passing 4 cars, one was a truck with a horse trailer, in eastern Washington. As I was passing I saw some cars coming so I passed as quickly as I could, not knowing how fast the oncoming traffic was going. As I got close to the last car I realized that the oncoming traffic was a bunch of cops with their lights on right behind a newer Accord. I just made it passed the last car in time because they were going really fast, probably about 90 on a 2 lane highway. When we got to the next town we stopped for dinner and found out that In the Accord was a man with a gun and the owner of the car held hostage.

OK I got a few because I am Nucking Futz behind the wheel. First old school one, 88 GMC S-15 lowrider with friends in the bed on the way home from a Cypress Hill concert, high as a kite, going around a turn holding the wheel with my knee (really stupid) see a cop, freak out, knee slips, head off the road to a 3 foot shoulder of grass with a tree boarder, yank the wheel, start sideways, dont know how the bed didnt smack the trees, truck gets on pavement sideways, then hook slides the other way and I straightened it out, my best friend Craig was out of the bed, feet dragging holding on for dear life, hands cut up from holding so tight. Cop wasnt looking in his mirror I guess, never turned around.
Now, onto the next. 95 Civic Si, my first and only brand new car, about 3 months old, sporting brand new 16" Neeper N7's, the baddest chrome wheel ever made. I had intake and crappy duel exhaust, yeah it was cheesy but I had just came from mini-trucks so I didnt think it was, I came over the top of a hill and found myself next to a 5.0, well I thought my car was the shiznit so I downshifted and dropped the hammer, he pulls in behind me and is catching up, everytime he tries to go around me a car comes up in his lane, he has to slow down and get behind me, this happens like 3 times, I was stoked and watching my mirror more than the road, my wife screams "look out!!!!" she and my son were in the car (MONUMENTALLY STUPID!!!) an ####### in a Jeep wrangler sitting on 44" tires, must have saw me coming at a high rate of speed (120mph) and wanted to be a prick and move over right in front of me, I looked up, jerked the wheel left, there just happend to be a turning lane that opened up so it was now 3 lanes, I went into the turning lane and had allready jerked the wheel back to the right and started spinning, the guys in the mustang later told me that I was on 2 wheels the whole time which was later confirmed by the skidmarks, I spun around 180 degrees and passed the jeep facing him, the car hit the grass shoulder and the other 2 wheels came down (two little skidmarks at the end of the pavement) into a concrete drainage ditch, up a steep embankment narrowly missing a telephone pole, back down through the ditch and on the shoulder of the road. My left front wheel was almost sawwed in half from the concrete ditch, my back wheel was slightly scratched on the lip, other than that, no damage, no injuries. An off duty cop saw the whole thing, stopped, said he had called FHP, asked if we were drunk, when he saw that we weren't he told us to get out of there, I had to drive away on half a rim, hehe that was not fun.
Last one, 1996 CBR 600, had it for 3 months, ran from the cops 8 times. I was on a toll road going like 85, a ford escort starts razzing me, I dust it of course, he keeps on, were going like 110 now and I am growing bored of him, so I pull up to like 140 or so and look back to see a helicopter above and behind me, I immediately thought it was a cop, floored it and got off at the next exit, blew the toll booth, made a right through a red light onto a street that is 4 lanes but has a 35mph limit, I was soon at 140mph, over a hill crest in the road I see a semi in the right lane, I am in the left, little did I know he was turning right and needed to swing into my lane to make the turn, he does, I freak. I slammed the brakes and hear them lock up, I pump them, each time hearing the dreaded screech, I am leaning away but the bike is not steering with the front tire locked up, he makes most of the turn and almost gets completely out of my way, my mirror hits the back of the trailer and smashes. Closest to death I have ever been. What a rush!!!!!!
