KW hydraulic lift system /// KW HLS helps lowered vehicles with low ground clearance to clear obstacles (http://kw-suspension.com/us/kw_hls.php)
I've never seen this before aftermarket, I know exotics have this sort of system, ferraris, lambos, i think even the veyron as they are normally low to the ground but as we all know, having low grounds in some city downtowns is a pain with shitty roads and bumps.
This is totally cool however, as it sits in the coilover and does not take up suspension travel almost at all when compressed!
I wonder has anyone done this to their car?
How much does the whole system weigh? The site doesn't seem to mention price. On a track/street car I think it would be rather useful, just as it comes stock on many exotics.

Wow I'm surprised there's so very little interest from ZILVIANS lol of all people on the face of this earth haha.
Ability to raise car on flip of switch by 2" without interfering with suspension travel under normal operation.

I don't think the majority of us can afford it. :wan:

the price is gonna kill it for 95% of the average car enthusiasts. Short of having some high end newer car i don't see this catching on in the early-mid 90's import car crowd except maybe 5 S-Chassis guys and some Supra guys. You're looking at roughly $5000 for this kind of setup.

Aah God speed will take care of this lmao
But seriously... just the KIT itself? Not coilovers, i have my own custom built coilovers? 5000?
Hmm, I guess its more of a 'exclusivity' price rather than a real reason to cost that much as they are the first to make it publicly available aftermarket for any car.

More of us can afford it then you would think, but most of us would much rather take the time to remove the bumper and spend said money on eBay body kits and stickers to to sticker bomb our cracked dashes.

Serious track cars are not overlowered, so they dont need these.
If i had 5000$ to spend ... i'd buy a diesel truck and get a licence to tow my car to tracks. Problem solved. Well actually i have that kind of money but i cant be bothered, and i dont have room to store that anyway (need to buy a house first)
As showned in the pics, these are for rich kids with overlowered show cars (audi r8 and so on), not the typical zilvia crowd.

There's a similar system that uses air, I believe the common name for the part is an 'air cup.' I know there are a few places around that make them, but they all seem to be unreasonably expensive considering that the air cup is basically a pneumatic cylinder without a 'rod', instead the 'rod' is replaced with a spring seat of sorts.
I believe Fortune auto is working on something similar, but who knows how much the system will cost.

I hope someone copies this lol.. and makes it affordable cuz ya...
We have some SHIT roads around here... and bumps.. and bad garage entrances not low car friendly (seen a few PISSED ferrari owners get PISSED lol)... so... ya :)

$5000, I'd rather have Ohlins for pure track or a different car altogether.

Just found this also!

Some dude used it on a porsche 962 replica he streets/tracks (LS twin turbo 1500hp hahaha...). Supposedly the above kit can raise 4-5 inches!
In case you don't know what a 962 is :)

This is it:

Apparently since last year this shit has been becoming popular so more than one manufacturer! Come on China Godspeed... you can do it lol.
Total system weight above is under 20lbs.
Their system is neither air or hydraulics, says its their own patented design that does not affect suspension at all.

Here's another system I found:
Home (http://www.ramliftpro.com/)
But this one is a hydraulic pump system

Seems shitty compared to the others and only 40mm raise... the other system above with up to 5" raise is EPIC... and what we want :)

They are not as expensive when you use a universal setup, i installed one a couple years back on a 300zx, it needed custom sized springs and removal of the helper spring. Also all the collars were either bottomed or removed for it to sit the way it does, we used tein flex's

^So the KW HLS is 2" up/down? How expensive are we talking for independent system cause i already have custom built coilovers utilizing koni race shocks. Really dont care for kw coilovers

If you're actual setup is built custom I wouldn't bother with doing the hls, you need roughly 45mm of free floating space between your collars and or springs just to put the deflated unit in

i run short stiff 2.5"x6"springs anyway i can make adjustments and i plan to get those lowering knuckles.. springs can always be changed...
