edit. might wanna revise the listing. and if you bought it like this, and the P/O told you it was an m3, you got ripped off.

what are the first three characters of the vin? WBA?

Jesus. I knew it, its not a real m3 then.
When I asked if it was genuine, I was asking if the car was sold from the factory with an s52.

change your thread title to either:

M50 swapped 318i
or
M3 bodied 325i

and lower your asking price.

I knew something was up when I saw the asking price. way too low for an m3 and too high for anything else.

and im not spamming or flaming, i just think its whack that your thread title is misleading and that your replay didnt help out.

Hope you can move this along quickly.

lol its swapped the original engine was a s50. previous owner told me the guy before him had blown the s50 and junkyarded the m50 then rebuilt it .
its not just m3 body kit if thats what you are trying to say.

well if the first three characters of the vin are WBS then i'd agree.

hes saying your car isnt an original "m3" since it s a 3 series with m3 parts on it. original meaning from the factory. is that hard to understand? its like someone taking a mirage and slapping on a shit ton of evo parts and calling/selling it as a Evo VI.

not at all.

m3 chassis comes from a different plant than a standard e36. not to mention the rear subframe reinforcement plates and the bigger brakes.

m3 chassis and 325,318 chassis are identical in every way, that's because there the same thing being assembled in different plants has nothing to do with the cars being different. What set them apart were the parts. S5x motor, zf trans, bigger brakes etc. Anywho this isn't a m3. M3 badge is dumb high, indicator lights on the mirrors, lux sides. Sorry op you got had

Looks like a regular 3 series to me, how is the grille on your bumper? Is it cross slated or straight slated

E36 m3 sedans came in 97 only, unless it's imported, some had the lux side skirts, some had the sport, and not all m3s have spoilers. Lil fyi for above posters.

Even for a non-m3, the exterior seems to be in good condition, if the interior is clean and you can supply proof of some sort on the mileage on the motor, has good maintenance, it's not that bad of a deal. Glws.

m3 sedans were available from 95-98 in America. You had two options, sport and luxury models.

Edit, correct 97,98 not before.

m3's production period for sedans started in 96 and ran through 98....sedans were only sold however in 97 and 98 (for u.s. models). Sedan m3s were available in sports and lux editions. sports had the twist on sideskirt while lux did not. lux also had different grill inserts.
