Yo, check out the disco potato. There is a Skyline GTR T28 for sale in the FS forum for like $400... which is the cheaper alternative.

It was installed on a Sentra a while ago that was kind of a sparkly gold brown color. Combine that with the roundish styling of the Sentra and sport compact car called the thing the Disco Potato.
This turbo has the specs of the turbo that was installed on that demo car.

i forget the site, but there is one out there that has it for like 500 or 600 something new.

roflmao. Gret thread guys. By the way, I have seen S15 turbo's dyno as high as 333rwhp. When I build my next 240, it will surely be sporting one of those.

i dont see why everyone loves maxing out little turbos. just get a bigger turbo. more lag? maybe... but if you get a ball bearing turbo, it will help a lot with lag. whats a little lag if it means going easier on your turbo? those things spin fast enough as it is.

I think the answer there is that most cars are street driven, not dedicated drag cars. Something that doesn't come into full boost until 4-5k kicks ass on the strip, but just isn't as fun to drive around town, which is what most people do.
Note: if the DO have a dedicated track car, it's all about the big wheel! :eek3d:

Is a small a/r t3/t04e too laggy for you? I think it's the best turbo for the price. I think on DSMs they spool under 4k, would be about the same for you.

thanks for the response. what's the max psi that an s15 t28 can handle?...333whp at what pressure, do you know? also, where's a good site to get that, or the disco potato for the low?

hey when does the t28 s15 turbo begin to spool and get full boost? how bout when u have a hks manifold, hks elbow, hks downpipe and catback with a hks type S intercooler? do u think ican get full boost by 2300 rpms?

Unless your full boost is 7psi, no.

nissantuner22- Actually, if you do some research you will find that the ball bearing center section doesn't really help lag a whole lot. Maybe 100-200rpms. Lag sux when you are looking for a nice linear power band. When roadracing, autocrossing, or drifting, you want a little lag as possible. When making 330+hp in a 240sx you will absolutely run 12's. A 12 second street car is very fast and very respectable. Why not have the best of both worlds? The T28 is a great turbo, and probably the best bang for buck option.
RMiller- I had a small a/r T3/TO4E on my KA-T and got full boost at about 4250.
crash153- The S15 turbo made 333 @ 18psi on this particular car. I will personally say there is no way in hell that turbo will rech full boost by 2300rpms. I dont care if its 7psi or not. Look up some dyno graphs. It will be much closer to 3000+rpms.
Here's a good thread to back my statement up: http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB9&Number=67688469&Forum=UBB9&Words=s15%20dyno&Match=Or&Searchpage=11&Limit=25&Old=3months&Main=67688158&Search=true#Post67688469
Read Society Mike's post :) He lives in Japan and was the person I was talking about originally.
