So I have an stock automatic s14 the motor started to develop rod knock and the head gasket blew a buddy of mine gave me his spare motor, swapped everything out after everything was done went to start the car it won't start and on top of that there's this buzzing noise every time I turn the key and every time i press on the brake pedal. I know previously the alternator starter and battery were all good. And as far as I know all the harnesses are connected plus all the grounds what else would it be?

You sure that the buzzing noise is not your fuel pump?
Does your motor turn over?
Are the fuel lines connected properly also?
Also check ur wiring I forgot which wire it was but it was one of the fuses i think making the noise do to a wire leading to the alternator i think being fucked up.
I really dont know how it was fixed cause it happened to a friend not me.

Cranks but doesn't fully turn over I do hear the fuel pump priming and that's okay, fuel lines are connected, I traced the noise it's sounds like its coming from near the starter or where all the fuses are. Gonna check the wiring and gonna check if the wiring to the starter isn't loose.

Check fuses first. Then, check the battery wires. It sounds to me like it's the wires that connecting the battery are somehow loose. If that's good, check the wire that goes to the starter.
