Hey everyone...after the first autocross of the season, I've come to the realization that new suspension is critical. (Wheel-hop, blown shocks...aaaahhhh) I have decided on the JIC FLTA2 set up. Where is the cheapest place to pick a set of these up from? I've ran across several online retailers selling them for around $1,600. Anyone know of anywhere cheaper?
Thanks!

be wary of jic... they are known to have bad customer support.. and sometimes their qualiy control isnt on par.. the have also raised their prices due to the japanese yen being so strong...

I've never heard anything about bad quality control... My FLT-A2's are still strong after 2.5 years. I personally have never had a problem with their customer support either.
I bought mine from JDMRecycler.com. They gave me an awesome price. Cheaper than anyone. I don't think I should really say online since JIC has price protection in place for their dealers. They are part of ABCD in california who is an authorized dealer. If you don't buy them from an authorized dealer, you get no warranty.
Good luck, you will enjoy them. I love mine.

Same here, have had my set for a year and a half with no issues whatsoever, still in great shape to this day. 35k miles on them. I can't remember where I got them from but they were right around 1500 shipped.
Just make sure to buy them from an authorized dealer !

If you can find it cheaper, let them know and they can probably beat the price.

sometimes the front damper wont turn
3 of my friends have that problem with the FLTa2. it gets stuck and cant change damper without a lot of effort and fudging around.

when kevin left jic.. things went sour.. which wasnt more than 3/4 a year or so... for those that had their jic's before great.. but for those buying now should watch out... ive seen jic's for s13's in the same shipment some with rear helper and some without.. .go figure... also most of the adjusters just dont click..

Josh...
How are you? I talk to your head boss and I know Kevin quite well too.
I'm just here to back up JIC as a company. They have always helped me and they have always showed the utmost respect in all my communications with them.
They are a small company, they do what they can to satisfy their customers.
I feel they get a bad rap, and i blame the shops that offer limited support, because a problem that can be fielded and possibly solved by the shop is usually left unresolved. This in turn causes the customer to go straight to JIC and it is left to JIC to solve another problem which should have been taken up with the speed shop.
Did i make sense? Basically...it's the wack shops that can't handle their customers that are giving JIC a bad name.
Tell Kevin i said hello!

What up Chris, Kevin here. While what you say has some truth, JIC shoots it's self in the foot all the time. While I was there I had to fight tooth and nail to defend the retail customers and shops we sold to against the "owner" Jong. That man only cares about the money and doesn't have enough foresight to help his customers out when it may be an immediate loss to him. JIC flat out can't sell to IS300s, 350Zs, S2000s, Proteges, RX7s and Lancers because he pissed off too many retail customers by not helping them or calling them liars. It is up the the local shops to take care of their customers. People that buy coilovers from the internet and try to instal them themselves are taking a risk, if they don't know the suspension well enough. You'd be suprised by how many people think they know what they are doing but in fact have no clue how to set them up. It doesn't help that JIC has no instruction manual whatsoever. They had one online that I wrote for the Impreza, but that is gone now. For anyone else reading this, Chris at Speed Aliance is a GREAT dealer that really knows how to take care of his customers and understands proper suspension setup. He really can help anyone with their suspension needs.
