Question about swap.

I have the opportunity to swap a 95 KA into a 96 altima for a daily driver while my SR is being put in. Would this swap work? I know motors are the same but would the automatic trans bolt right up? Also are connectors diffrent?

umm.. 96 ka from a 240sx? um.. aren't altimas front wheel drive?

yea, they have ka24de's. I was going to take the manual trans off my 95 240sx KA motor and swap with its fine working auto FWD. I was just wondering how diffrent connectors were and if it would work.

I did a search prior and didnt find much. All one person said is that its tranzerse so no go but all you would have to do is attach trans to existing 240 ka and swap correct?

No, it won't work. The block and head are both different between the cars.

huh that sucks. Could pick up a dead altima thats tranny is perfect but motor is shot for 200 bucks and have a perfectly good ka sitting around soon. Thanks.
