hey guys im gonna keep this short and to the point. my s14 audio fuse blows instantly when i put a fuse in there, i just bought a new deck and was able to use the previous owners harness since they had an old aftermarket deck. ive checked for wires that might be shorting out but couldnt find any. Any Ideas would greatly be appreciated im stumped.:faint:

:UPDATE:
ok so i had an old shitty deck in there from the previous owner, when i put a new audio fuse in the fuse box and connect the old deck it works fine but when i put in my new pioneer as soon as i plug it in it blows the fuse???? i have a boost guage tied into the red wire on the deck but the guage still illuminates even when the fuse for the radio is blown?? do i need some kind of amp thing for this deck if its putting out too much power??
: also i noticed that when i accidentially touched the pioneer deck to the shifter it would spark everytime i touched them together, but the old deck even after plugging it in rite after the pioneer did not spark when touching the shifter metal on metal

There's a short somewhere. There's your simple answer. The hard part is finding where + and - are touching. There's no way anyone on the internet can point out for you exactly where it is. Time to get a hold of an FSM, find the wires, and get working my friend..

Are you using an aftermarket harness that plugs into the factory radio harness? How are you connecting them? Take a picture. Wiring a headunit is simple. Red-acc power, yellow-constant/battery power, and black ground, which is all you need for it to turn on. The rest are for the speakers, illumination and antenna. Hacking up the factory radio harness is retarded when you can buy an aftermarket harness for 10 bucks.
