View Full Version : The CA Alignment Shop List - Lowered & Slammed Friendly

jeremyuhh
11-21-2012, 03:02 PM
Trying to get a list going of all the reputable and frequently used alignment shops in the south west area so everyone can look here, choose a place, and get an alignment.

the listed shops will be lowered/slammed friendly. they have been collected from this forum (from users who recommend the shops and have taken their cars there) other forums, and researched online.

please post name, county, address, number, price and person to look for and ill update the list. hopefully this will be stickied and be useful in the future.

Wheel House sucks they wont zero toe they just get it to green and say its good enough. And when you go back because your tires are shredded after one day because of the toe they blame it on ball joints that are perfectly fine! Fuck those guys

update list.

went to Z alignment today. it sucks getting in the driveway, steep entrance and fucked up pavement, but they have an in-ground rack, so even if youre .5" off the ground they can do it. just remove your aero on the way in.

they dont know shit about shit, they just align to what you want, but you have to be really clear and patient with their tech (not the smartest guy in the world.) Never the less, they got it done. I had brand new toe arms and they didnt give a fuck, lol its all scratched up now but who cares. just a warning for everyone who does decide to go there.

I tried valley pacific listed above on the recommendation of a friend and I finally found my alinement shop. Extremely knowledgeable actually sat down with me, asked what the car was for, and discussed the different options and what they meant for the tire wear and feel of the car. I have a pretty low s14 canyon car. I've had the car 3 years and tried 4 alinement places. First time ever the car goes straight (he even has a way to counter the natural pull to the right all cars have due to the crown in roads), the wheel is centered when the car is going straight, and it handles perfectly.

Got me in same day, very reasonably priced, very good to my freshly painted car. The guy that runs the place Mark is great and entertaining. And best of all..., the waiting room is a couch in the garage so you can watch your car be worked on.

i was gonna take it there but i didnt feel like paying $120+ since i had a budget for thanksgiving, blackfriday, and christmas coming up. i bet their service is as good as you say, i could tell over the phone when i spoke to them too.

how low is your car? my previous s13 was scraping road reflectors and sparking on normal roads.

My car is not all that low, just a slight tuck on the rears (18" rims with 265/35/18) and the fronts made level. In my mind it's a matter of knowledge. His place is set up for lowered cars and that's one of there specialties. The guy Mark is there everyday and takes pride in the shop he runs. My car is not slammed, but if it was I still know where I'd go.

My s14.5 is on coils, and all adjustable arms.

My Lexus is on just lowering springs with shocks (no adjustable arms) and he did a great job on that too.

There alinment rack is not in the ground. I should have mentioned that so thank you for asking. They did however have extra long ramps and other already made wooden pieces. If you're car is litterally 1/2 inch off the ground I would call first, otherwise I don't think there'd be a problem. They do have a few inspection pits for working on low cars but not the alinment rack.

My car has a s15 front and was painted very recently. Again it's not crazy low, Maybe 3-5" to the front lip, but they took extreme caution pulling it on the rack and used three sets of eyes.

Chris at Fontana Nissan is super legit I rate them a A++++++ I'll always take it to him

Definitely agree. Took the S13 and S14 to Fontana Nissan for alignments. Chris Heimburg (tech at Nissan Raceshop) is the only guy who touches our cars, and for good reason. He's the only tech qualified to work on GTR suspensions, so his work is stellar and he's also a very cool guy; very knowledgeable with all Nissans and highly recommended.

It's a plus that they're also the only Nissan Dealership in SoCal with an in-ground rack.

Also, I've been to:

When I called the guy who answered was friendly and when I actually showed up the manager, was a cool guy who explained everything. I didn't get my alignment that day because it was late, and now I have to wait till I can fix my engine.

Took the '97 240 and '05 Titan to Precision Alignment and Brake. $90 for a 4 wheel on the car and $70 for the truck. My wife is taking the '93 vert today and the quote was $50.

Car feels good. They didn't ask me if I wanted anything special, just took the car and did it. Cusco parts / Jic Coils. I'm low but with the stock bumper at the moment and no prob getting on the rack. (he said a body kit might not make it) ...I just wanted the tires to last so I didn't mind not chatting about some special setting for the alignment.

The truck... I'm not so sure about. Tracks straight enough. Have about 8" of lift and my LCA bushings may be going so I wont hold anything against them yet.

These guys are on 27860 Del Rio Rd (off of Jefferson ) in Temecula.

Great customer service! Knowledgeable, Perfectionist, and all around great experience.

My car had come in with a really bad alignment problem that I had tried fixing at my usual spot by just doing the front alignment. Long story but I left unhappy from the alignment shop.

I then went to Dan's shop and Chris explained I need to a full alignment. I let them do thier thing and the car feels great! I enjoy driving my car again.

I take my car here for alignment (and some minor repairs if I don't have the time/tools) they're lowered car friendly and have reasonable prices. Took it in for a wheel bearing and alignment, and a tie rod end. $300 (5 lug hub assembly, tie rod end + alignment + labor) Not bad if you ask me considering the price of a 5 lug hub assembly by itself. With the work and alignment the car handles solid and sits great. Also informed me of wear in my rear bushings that needs to be addressed in the next few months. Now that I no longer work nights I'll be doing most of my own work, but if I don't have the time/tools, I'll take it here. It's quality service that I would recommend.

Also, Norco Motorsports/Norco Automotive right around the corner (same building) is custom car friendly (kinda slammed friendly, call ahead they only have 1 lift that does my car, they don't do alignment), and have good prices. Darryl is a super cool dude and has done some very solid work for my SR. They know what they're doing. Its off the 15 freeway and 2nd street exit, Norco. Its great because not many places in my part of the IE that does solid work on a fair price. I've seen some nice ass cars in both shops on my visits there.

There's also a gun store, and a bar in the same complex.

Dans Shop in Torrance
1623 Sepulveda Blvd.
Torrance CA 90501

Great customer service! Knowledgeable, Perfectionist, and all around great experience.

My car had come in with a really bad alignment problem that I had tried fixing at my usual spot by just doing the front alignment. Long story but I left unhappy from the alignment shop.

I then went to Dan's shop and Chris explained I need to a full alignment. I let them do thier thing and the car feels great! I enjoy driving my car again.

exactly what i was looking for!!!! this thread is da shiiiz xD

I do not recommend this place. If there is a lot of adjustment he will charge extra. He also cross threaded my RUCA and not very lower car friendly.

I know it's been mentioned but went to Alignment Plus in San Marcos today.

https://www.google.com/search?q=alignment+plus+san+marcos&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari#mldd=0

Aligned my car and did a pretty rad job. They are also in the process of getting there laser alignment machine to be completely flush to the floor. They said they will be able align cars that are draging on the floor. They are worth checking out!

Songs Alignment in Hawthorne! Marco knows his stuff and he previously owned an S14 in the past. He really takes his time on lowered cars and knows how to adjust every aftermarket arm properly.

Super chill guy. I always take my business to him.

I know this is an old post but i went here and they said they couldn't do my car. He did refer me to Alignment plus in San Marcos which he guaranteed me they can do my car at it's current ride height. I'll update you guys with my experience tomorrow.

bring this back from the past.

anyone know any alignment shops that will do an alignment for less than $100?

Back when i had a 240 (3/4 years ago) the most i paid was about 60 for front and rear camber and front and rear toe.

Everyone is trying to charge my brother $90-100. Not THAT big a deal but hey every dollar saved counts.

Thanks.

Undercar Specialist in Covina is a good one. He's got an above ground but will help you get your low car up, full computerized alignment. Dudes name is Jerry and he's a real good dude.

and just to add to this -

Bear wheel and frame is where I used to go, until I realized that all of their hand done alignments really aren't cutting it. I've had personal cars and friends / family cars go elsewhere after their cars still had semi-messed up alignments. Took my old SC300 (years ago) and then had to take it somewhere else to get redone. Just my experience.

Dunno exactly what you mean by lowered and slammed but it's not that hard to align a full coilover/pillow ball arm set up, just takes time. Conover in Oceanside is good. There are a couple Firestone's in the area that have good techs. It's not really about the place but what experience the tech has.

Any more recommendations, specifically in or near the Inland Empire? Going off of the most recent suggestions, I'm might go with Undercar Specialist in covina. Website states $50 for alighment, so that's not bad.

Any shops near Sacramento? All the shops around here are pretty much Les Shwab or some corporate owned people who don't really know shit.

this thread should just be changed to the bay and socal alignment shop.

is there anyone else other than affinity in Rancho Cordova in the sacramento area that does alignment for low cars? Im talking low low. nothing wrong with affinity performance. i was just quoted almost 150 for an alignment and id have to take the day off work to go in as they arent open on the weekend.

im only looking for shops who will do this correct. every arm on my car is adjustable and i want them to adjust that and not my eccentrics. i dont mind spending 150ish to get it done as it may be tedious for the tech, but i just wanted to see if there were any other options.
