Hi everyone,
I've been going through my car to make sure everything is up to spec, along with ignition timing and proper pressures.

Well, I've been trying to set my idle to 650 rpm with the tps disconnected, but it won't go down pass 750 rpm no matter how far I screw in the idle screw on the iacv. What I'm thinking is that the auxiliary air valve is stuck open? Could this be a possibility?

I just replaced the ecu temperature sensor, along with swapping out an iacv from a good s14 I had laying around. I have no engine codes except for code 35 egr temp sensor and 45 for leaky fuel injector. I inspected all the injectors and there is no exterior surface leak. Possibly inside? Would I have to check for resistance to diagnose this? I did fail emissions today for high co (limit was 20.000, mine was at 22.000)... Yet, I don't think this would prevent me from setting idle down to 650 rpm.

Any inputs would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Why are you trying to set the idle lower than factory?

I guess I read wrong? I read that once idle is set at 650-700 rpm with the tps unplugged, it'll jump back up to 700-750 rpm with it plugged so that I can set timing to ~20 deg btdc. I guess idle doesn't matter for base timing, as long as timing is set right. Thanks anyways.

750 is fine. Mine idles around 800, with DW 810cc injectors, any lower and I flood. AFR 13:1. You should be fine.
