Electrical Problems

I have a 93' S13. All lights on the vehicle fade in and out quickly, kind aof changes when revving or driving at higher speeds. Previous owner took out stereo deck, cant find any obvious improperly crossed wires, also has a push start hooked up and a electronic boost controller. What all can cause something like this? Car runs fine other than that

^ That... Get out a multimeter and check for voltage with the car running. Should be between 13.5 and 14.5 if the alt was good.

thanx, i'm gonna try and thoroughly check things tomorrow and test the voltage in various places. it only occurs when the car is running so I am assuming its alt related. Car runs fine for the most part other than this. Also the boost gauge and A/F ratio gauges are not lighting up. A lot of work has been to the car so im assuming its gonna take me a but to figure it out if its not the alt.
