I got my car almost a year ago. S14 sr in an s13 the car ran perfect. Pistons, rings rods, arp studs, Disco Potato actuator is adjustable at 9psi I belive (no boost controller), nismo 555 on a Reytec non programmable... So it's like a chipped ECU. Ran 13 flat.

My problem is, it started running lean after I took out the motor to switch out the tranny cuz i broke my other one(the new one is also a POS)... When I dropped it back in it just started runnin lean...:wtf:

I switched out the fuel pump to a supra, I'm thinking it's the nismo FPR(no fuel pressure gauge), or the Z32 maf... I'm not sure why it just started running lean after I put the motor back in.

I wan't to change the z32 maf but i was unsure if it matters if the Z32 maf is off an N/A or a TT... I was told by previous owner it's a TT maf, but if I replace it with an N/A will it make a difference? I want to knock problems off my list, I want to know that if i do change the TT to an N/A I won't be back peddling even if it doesn't fix the problem...

I've done research and they are both N62 and no difference. But a friend said that it'll be fine as long as the ECU is programmed from TT to N/A. But my ecu isn't programmable soooo:barf:.....

Oh and also when I open the throttle the Uego wont go richer than 14.2 that is the richest I've seen it go.. But when i need some throttle on the freeway and I am in 5th It'll run at 12.5:loco: I don't punch it cuz it's running this way but when I do need open it up a little I monitor the Air/Fuel ratio...

The race that broke my tranny...

N/A and TT MAFS are the same

If your ECU isnt tuned for the MAFS then that is your problem. Electronic Upgrade parts are not plug and play, ECU need to be tuned for it.

The Tomei ECU was sent pre programmed for a z32 maf that is probably why it wasn't a problem before I took the motor out to change out the Tranny and it still might not be problem... But thanks for the reassurance on the maf.

Check the gaskets on the turbo all around it from moving it wit the tranny

I would have never thougt about that. Are you saying I should check for loose bolts or check if the gasket cracked???

It would have to be on the turbo intake side, check from the MAFS to the turbo for leaks. Your running lean so its a vac leak before the turbo.

If you had boost leaks then you engine would run rich.

Thanks. I'll inspect the turbo side.

I was shaking around stuff and cleaning at the same time. I stuck my fingers down by the exhaust I was able to rip off a piece of the gasket from in between the elbow and downpipe....
