I took this video earlier.

240sx Blinking check engine light after manifold change - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7B-g8IRmWg)

I turned the ECU screw clockwise while in ON position (But not running) then I turned it counter clockwise to read the code. 32 and 34... EGR and Knock sensor.

Then while it was blinking, I started the vehicle, and put it back clockwise, waited two seconds, then turned it counter clockwise again to reset it,

This is when it started blinking....

By the way, when I turn my key to ON position, only the right side lights light up, and on the left side, only the check engine light goes on... is this normal?

I have a 94 s13 by the way.... :/

Did you try turning it clock wise and back to change it back to regular operating mode before you start the car back up?

Looks like it in the O2 reading mode.
If you can't figure out how to turn it back to mode1 then just pull the neg cable and let it sit for 10 min, then re connect it.

It was figured out. If you turn it clockwise then counter clockwise like the first poster suggested I believe it resets the ecu to mode1.

Now, can anyone explain the other mode that it was in? My light was on for EGR and knock sensor. Does the light blink whenever there is some problem or fault? Because sometimes it stays lit and others it blinked.. when in this other mode I mean.

Mode I- Exhaust gas sensor monitor (Normal mode)
Mode II- Mixture ratio feedback control monitor (your Light will blink and stop ect. showing the activity of the 02 sensor)

Mode III- Self-diagnostic
Mode IV- Switch on/off diagnostic system
Mode V- Real-time diagnostics system.

Thank you for this^

By the way, I fixed my check engine light codes! I still have the ECU hanging out so if it goes on again I can check it. But for now it's off!!

It was the dumbest stupidest shit ever.... Under the throttle body, where the small vacuum hose off the air intake pipe goes to the carbon canister.. one of the egr lines was switched! Here I was looking all behind the engine and creeping around under the EGR valves thinking I hooked up something wrong back there.. nope. just the worlds dumbest ass mistake haha.

And if I get an error 32 again Ill tear that whole shit apart... hahaha
