Congrats of having bought a nice car!

I can tell you, no problem making 600whp out of a SR20 engine. I am currently doing a 1000whp SR20 engine.

You would get more torque with a 2jz but it's a lot more expensive IMO, at least where I live. SR20 block can handle up to 700hp if the cooling is good enough. If you want more than that I would suggest you to have darton sleeves inserted.

You literally woul only need to upgrade connection rods, pistons and headgasket for a 450 whp, + a larger turbo. Stock inlet manifold can be used up to 500 flywheel hp.

If I were you I would have chosen the SR engine for the build

^$1000 usd not bad..

I'd go with:
Rb26. Rb25 trans, Single gt35 turbo, 850cc injectors, aeromotive 340 pump, Power fc easy 5-600whp for what your gonna spend on that 2j engine alone lol

1j or 2j is a good option too. stock forum hold alot of power!!

01-16-2013, 11:48 AM
It's awesome to see dudes from all over the world. If you have an unlimited budget do a 2j. If you on a budget do 1j. Sr's can handle a lot of power after you build them. A 1 or 2j can make 450 on stock internals.

Oh and be prepared for people to hate. This is zilvia. Every one is rude

with installing 1j 2j , how much handling of car will be effected ?

secondly keep in mind i will be looking for 500whp, and need power for drags on street. not on track..

don't the RUCA's face forward ? so they don't rub the coilovers ? or is it just me ?

cool sounding build so far, I would rock the 1J personally as its cheaper where I am, so I would assume the same for you, a single GT35 turbo, 850's, AEM EMS, FMIC, 255 or 340 LPH pump and water/meth injection should net you a decent amount of power. also, a good set of cams and a good ( apexi or Tomei ) Head Gasket.

more torque - 9.0:1
more boost - 8.0 or 8.5:1

the 280's will build power up real high, if your using this for racing, I would suggest a cam that gives you a more wider powerband. instead of the very top.

maybe a 264/272 combo ?

keep up the good work dude!!

I would choose a cam that builds more midrange. like a matched set of 264's and get a turbo setup for response. S-Chasis cars are pretty fast for taking off due the the 4.08 R&P in the diff.

if your racing, I would gear up more towards response so you can use the power you have. like if you can have full boost by 3500 and hold a good powerband to 7-7500 you'll be doing just fine.

best bet is to get a standalone with a MAP sensor setup. then have it tuned. your tuner will be able to or should be able to tune the car to how you want it to behave.

no drifts, only street drags as no track available here. hell baddass slipery roads...very difficult for rwd cars to drag on such roads. :) good option in pakistan to get AWD !~

jr_ss

This can be looked at a few ways. Each injector can flow more than advertised when the base fuel pressure is increased by 1bar. Voltage also plays a role in the amount these injectors can flow. The ID1000's at 16v's flow a base volume of 1015cc pressure at 3bar(43.5psi) and have a peak flow rate of 1350cc's at 7bar(101.5psi). The same can be said for the 1300's and the 2000's. The problem lies in your fuel pumps capabilities when you start flowing higher base fuel pressures. If you want to keep your fuel pump/s working easier, you'll want to go with a higher flow rate at the base fuel pressure.

http://www.injectordynamics.com/injectors.html

Here is a link, click on the links for each injector size that you may want/need. They give you 3bar up to 7bar flow rates in graph form.

When I put my SR together in College (high performance program at my university) All of my instructors said you must line hone if you change fasteners especially at the mains. If you go ARP route, I would have the block line honed. Its too much work to not do it and find out after you wipe out your mains. Also at the time of my SR build (approx 7-8 years ago) the studs ARP were selling were to long at the rear iirc? and had to be ground down after assembly so the upper oil pan would seal. I hope they have gotten that squared away by now, but you never know.

Update: My Abs is nt working in s14 , i tried to fix it but no success, some times it start working and then suddenly its stop working and give abs light ... . well i guess its just becos of the the the brakes and tires i am using, any clue can this be the reason ?

runing on 18s rims and using front r32 gtr brakes and rotars.

thanks .?

Agamemnon

My guess is it would be the 2 relays that are under the black cover built into the ABS unit under the hood. Mine went bad and drained my battery one night. I have R32 GTR brakes as well, and I know that they don't affect the ABS system.

Start the car and drive around until the ABS light comes on. Stop and leave the car running. Inside the trunk to the left side you'll see the ABS control unit held on a bracket by 3 bolts. Unbolt the ABS control unit and flip it over. You'll find a red LED that will blink the trouble code. Cross reference the number in the service manual.

Help Please, TOday just install inovate widebad lm2 kit in my car, and tommorow installing AFC NEO to fine tune my ride, it stock sr20det,(vtc) stock map , stop injectors, can you please help me setting up the AFC neo , wat initial setups i need to do it on AFC NEO like

1) sensor select ? values of in and out ?

My suggestion is to get a real fuel computer, not the AFC. Vipec is a PnP standalone or use a Nistune hardware/software and tune your car right.

I cant believe you built this in Pakistan. that's impressive! Do you guys build cars often over there? I know the scene is small but my brother saw a supra when he was visiting which he was shocked to see.
