Arrrrggghhhh...!

So I bring in my turbo and get it taken apart so I can Cryo it like 3 weeks ago... Well that was fine I got it back about a week ago and gave it to the shop to put back together

So my car went in yesterday and 8 am to get the turbo installed at 10 to when ever... I think about 10hr? thats the quote they said it would be no problem.

So I call them up at 4:00 pm to see how its going... I get the ol ohh we have been super bizzy and have not had a chance to look at it yet... ( in my head... WHY THE FUCK DID YOU HAVE ME BRING IT IN!) I took 2 days off becuse for it to be inatalled you said no problem! I need my car to go to work...

So they call back at 6 pm yesterday and say that it looks like it will be 15hrs for the job now that the tech looked at it... (still mad NOTHING has been done!) Ohh but wait... the tech just walked in and adds another 5hr to the quote.... hmmm so now its 20hr at $65 and hr thats $1300... I'm mad so I just say fine. I already talked to my parents and everything is fine I have a car.

She said the tech is getting it ready for tomarrows work and it should be worked on then... Grr fine.

So I did not bother to call in the morning... soo i just got a just got a call from the owner saying that there is a spacer washer missing from the turbo and they have been looking all day to find the specs for it... (why did this not happen a week ago I have no idea) SO the turbo is bunk for now... great...

hows the turbo going... (nothing has yet been done on it) what the fuck...

So I say nicely, Well how about this... You install the Oil return line... and get a hole in the firewall for me and I will do the rest. Also how much will it cost to get my turbo working? (He said not much its not my fault it was missing something) well thats good news...

So yeah I was thinking I would have a turbo 240 this weekend but now its looking like I will get my car back monday and am going to do the install myself... for $1300 I'll buy all my own damn tools... I sould have listend to my bro and just done it our selfs.

Ohh and this quote is just the turbo... I already ran ALL the ecu wires a week ago and have been tuning my NA car with my E-manage (cool computer btw)

He said it would be about 5 hrs just for the oil return line...

So yeah just me ranting...

Good thing I work for the fukin GOV... I'll just take a damn week off! why not.

I hope they tune faster then they work on turbos.

I dont dislike the shop... I just exspect shit to happen when they tell you its going to. :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

(SO ANY OFF YOU THAT HAVE DONE A GREDDY TURBO?? TIPS?)

Installing a turbo and all the lines is simple. It is outragrous on what some shops will you charge you for something so easy to do.

I think it is also the places that some people take their parts to and get them installed ..... unless you know and trust the people installing your parts I wouldnt let anyone touch my car ....there is endless horror stories of people getting into more than they bargained for doing supposed simple jobs

My buddy just paid 300 dollars and he got a 3in turbo back exhaust, custom cold air intake and several other custom fabrications done all included.

should've taken your car back instead, just give it or do it yourself. last time i took my car to a shop for my antisway bar they took like two hours AND the sway bar they put in for me was out of spec. the sway bar i had i brought that in but when they installed it they didn't mention to me that the bar was too large. so what they do...they jammed it in. now it's messing with my rear suspension, especially my bushings. had to replace twice so far in two years...
