Ok so in the wonderful state of California, I got a fix it ticket for my limo tint.

I was asking for it seriously. No contest.

I'm willing to pay the fine and get inspected, HOWEVER, I'm very very curious as to what the courts are allowed to inspect for this infraction.

Are they just going to see that I dont have tint anymore and sign me off? Or are they going to dry ass rape me three at a time and go over every bit of my car? What are my rights?

I'm paranoid sorry.

if you have other noticeable things like extreme drop or a big fartcan exhaust that may draw redflags for the inspector. also clear corners/bumpers w/o amber bulbs.

if you have any TVs in your car that may be ticketed as well..

as far as your rights the inspector can inspect anything that is visable as far as popping hood/trunk i'll leave that to someone else to answer.

why would tv's get ticketed? they come equipped from the factory nowadays..

since when do you get MORE tickets for going to get one signed off? I've gotten plenty of shit signed off, you get your stereotypical lazy paperpushing government worker come out of the sheriff's station, take a quick fuckin look, then go back inside and give you your signed paperwork -- pay your fee and you fuckin go.

I've brought my car to the sheriff's station for front license plate and only had the bitch held on with 1 screw and double stick tape, they walk down see my stripped fucking car and go "whoa what happened" I say it got broken into and I'm fixing it.

GREAT -- fixed the ticket and I'm now 10 dollars poorer, but that doesnt mean they are going to butt-rape me for every other infraction my car has.

Jeez some of you guys are paranoid.. plus, TVs? What kind of crap is that? Clear sidemarkers are illegal regardless if you have an amber bulb or not, its the CLEAR SIDEMARKER which is deemed as illegal, doesnt matter the color of the bulb.

factory cars can come with anything and it will be legal....anything aftermarket such as tv's will be illegal.

Pretty gay if you ask me

It's not illegal, it's the placement of the televisions/monitor just can't block the drivers view from road and mirrors if applicable (depends on the type of vehicle and yr) At least here in Texas...as far as the tint all you have to do is show a officer or whoever is working at the court you go to or a work order showing removal of tint....but California legal system sucks, so good luck.

hey i'll trade your tint window sign off for my emission "referee only sign off" what do you say? haahahahaha... if the car is very modded i'd just find a stock one slap on the plates and done deal.. they will not even approach the car.. most likely from like 10 feet.. as soon as they see clear windws stock looking.. ahhh ok.. give me my 10 bucks now, as for me i'm fugged and beyond..

Nah, its cool. I figured it'll improve my visibility if 95% more light comes through.

Now the questions is... how do I hide a fmic? :)
