Find some listed for sale, convert to US money, add drift tax, JDM tax and import cost. Boom. Done.

What you really need to be asking is this: Why the F would you take out a loan for a 180sx? Shit, any 240sx for that matter.

Considering the car is not street legal and will not be insurable via normal means - you will not be able to get a loan...

I'm surprised any bank will even entertain this lunacy.

You live in CA.. and you want to import a JDM S13, to drive daily I assume? You must not realize how many hoops you'll have to jump through to even get a grey area-legal car. Find yourself a clean US S13, and spend a quarter of the cost (no loan needed)... Getting a loan on a 20+ year old car, that isnt a classic/anything that will appreciate in value is fucking stupid, especially at 20 years old.

Co sign^. Best bet would be to get a reliable dd with no problem and then build your "drift dream".

Just be careful man, this kinda shit can really fuck you. You might be ok, being in the midwest and all, but it is still a grey area deal.

It's still not something I would recommend taking a loan out for, especially on such an old car.

alright thanks guys for the insight.

No problem, thanks for actually listening :wiggle:

Umm..just get a "personal loan". Interest might be higher but hey you want to be JDM tyte yo. Get a co-signer if need be. Done. You can worry about the legality issues once you have it here.

Thats what happened when I sold my 180..... Personal loan they give a shit less what your doing with it. As long as you have decent credit they will float you money. That being said your a fucking idiot for doing it. The novelty of driving around a car thats worth a total of about 800$ if its wrecked/stolen goes away quickly.
