Hey just did a sr swap into my s14 and i was wondering what can be causing my sr to idle weird. It drives and boost perfectly but when i put it on neutral and come to a stop the idle drops and sometimes turns off. I checked the vacuum lines already. I think my bov stays open, can that be the problem or can it be something else? Thanks.

If your bov is vented, that's your problem. When it makes the fancy pshh sound that everyone with their first bov craves it's letting a good amount of metered air out instead of keeping it in the system. When this happens it gets pig rich for a moment causing it to die. If you don't want it to die don't throw it in neutral immediately after getting into boost.

Or you could plumb it back into your intake tract post MAF pre turbo like it should be.
BTW, this isn't the tech section...
Also check your IACV, it might be clogged or set improperly.

But then he wouldn't get his awesome pew sound. Don't you remember your first bov?
