I got my bat located in the trunk, I currently dont have a bat box but it is secured down, but I want to relocate it behind the pass seat. It will be tied down and wont be able to move, but do I absolutely need a bat box? I will get one soon, but is it okay to do this for say a month or so?

It might seem like a stupid question, and yes I've searched and couldn't really find a definite answer. Thanks.

I don't think it is, its just a normal car battery, Duralast Gold I think? POS battery but I cant afford a new one right now.

Shouldn't be inside passenger area if its not a gel cell unless you want to die. It needs to be vented to the outside

Why would I die? lol

I guess I'll leave it in the trunk.

If you like breathing sulfuric acid vents, then go on, dont vent it outside.

lead acid batteries give off hydrogen gas when being charged or discharged, so that how you will die

Or stop being cheap and get a dry cell. Cause it will leak inside the car

Dry cell battery prices are also dramatically lowering. The problem is you need a special charger (they are lithium based batteries). I am going to get one soon, just have to figure out where to fit it. Try getting a motorbike unit 1500cc kawasaki units are good for that, and small. Yet it also has small capacity, i guess it depends on the purpose of your car. Mine is a toy, i dont dd it, so 14AH is well enough.
