Hi everyone, I am brand new to the forum, and own a 1991 300ZX Twin Turbo, right hand drive, manual 5sp transmission, 2+2, 67,xxxkms on original VG30DETT motor, has T-Top roof, PW, PL, PS, AC, HICAS, running on 15/40 royal purple synthetic oil and K&N oil filter (changed out every 1500kms)
Overhaul done at 50,000kms includes:
- Timing Belt
- Power steering belt
- A/C Belt
- Alternator belt
- New intake plenum gaskets
- Half moon seals
- New hoses (coolant hoses, fuel lines, air lines, PCV lines, Vacc lines)
- New knock sensor wiring
- New knock sensor and Knock sensor relocated
- Throttle body gaskets
- IAA gaskets
- Valve cover gaskets
- Fuel filter
- Timing belt tensioner
- Crankshaft seal
- Crankshaft oil seal
- VTC springs
- VTC cover plate o-rings
- Thermostat
- Water pump
- A/C belt
- Catalytic converter overheat temp sensor
- O2 sensor

Thats basically the whole layout of my 300zx. The car was sitting at VeilSides original shop and this 300zx IS the original VeilSide promotional car used to advertise the 300zx Body kit that my car has on right now, many people like it many people don't, I chose to keep the kit as is as it is rare and a piece of Z32 history. The car has no problems at all. Here is a list of mods I am going to do and things I am buying this winter and going to install next summer:
- 6 point Sparco harness
- 4 point Sparco harness
- Sparco harness bar
- A/M gauges: Air/Fuel, boost, volts, water temp, oil pressure, exhaust temp
- A better deck, most likely a flip out touch screen
- ConceptZperformance test pipes and downpipes
- Going to be removing the single exit bordermax exhaust and installing dual HKS Super Dragger II exhaust, so Il be changing the exhaust back to true dual.
- Sand blasting the rims/restoring them
- Bigger brakes
- 550cc injectors or 740cc injectors
- Paint touch up,
- Restore sparco seat leather
This is a quick list of what I'm doing, most likely going to have a lot more but this is a good start. I highly doubt I will be doing turbos or anything bigger than full bolt ons. I may be even missing a couple things out of my current mod list.
