Ok so i bought a ISIS RS3871 turbo to replace my blown GT2871 and when i got it the wastegate was routed to the turbo, and my gt2871 just had a nipple where the boost controller was connected, my question is, the setup that i had before was running 16psi so in order for me to run the same i just disconnect the hose and block the hole in the turbo housing ? i have no idea why that hoes is there in the first place ? and i did search before i posted. thanks in advance

and for the oil feed they tell me to not remove the banjo fitting, but they also said that the lines that i ordered will work with the turbo, so what should i do ? the line in my opinion is way to close to the turbo.

To answer your first question, the turbine comes that way to open the actuator at a preset boost level- whatever it may be... You need to run a line from the compressor housing nipple to your boost controller for it to sense the boost, then another line from the controller back to the actuator... You are going to need to adjust your controller for the new turbine... Unless the specs by some chance are EXACTLY the same (which I doubt).
As far as the lines go, there is no way to put a banjo fitting on without taking the bolt out. What I think the directions are trying to say is "Do not leave this out." :rimshot:
How close the lines are to the center of the turbo is irrelevant. On most turbos, the banjo fittings leave the lines WAY close once seated- which is why the lines are braided SS. Unless space was in issue, (not proximity to the turbo), you shouldn't worry- it will be fine.

thanks for the reply, you said i need to run the line from the compressor housing nipple to the controller for it to sense the boost, but how did it work then on the gt2871 ? it didn't have the compressor housing nipple ?
and for the lines it already came with the banjo fitting and the bolt from the box and it was said to not remove it as in keep the banjo fitting and don't change it to a restriction fitting like i posted in the last picture, the line i got is 90 deg that's why it comes so close to the turbo, should i change the line to being straight apposed to 90 deg ? turbos get red hot and i am worried it will melt the line like it did with all the water lines

first and second picture has it with a bajo fitting and the last picture with a restriction

Run your boost controller in between the line from the wastegate to the compressor housing.

Your oil feed line, is there 90* fittings on either end of it?

The 2871 may not have had a nipple on it. You have 2 options: set up the boost controller the same as you had it with the 2871 and plug the nipple on the new turbine housing; or plug the original boost source for the 2871 and use the one on the new turbo housing... Either way you need to run the actuator line the same way you had it before.
The directions say to not operate the turbine with that fitting removed; not that you can't take it out to do maintenance on the lines. If it's a BB turbo, you need a restrictor in the oil line... The directions should tell you that. Again, the lines came come close to it and be fine. Nothing wrong with them touching the compressor side- just keep them from physically resting on the center cartridge or turbine side and thay will be fine.
