I have the opportunity to buy some used 300zx calipers for real cheap. . .about $40.00 or so. Has anyone purchased rebuild kits for these? If so how much did you spend? I am wondering how much this brake change will cost me though because of new rotors, brake lines and then wheels and that's if I don't even a swap the hubs. I have a 1989 HB with Sr so I'll need the brakes eventually, but I have brand new tires on the stock wheels and I was planning on driving it with those wheels for a while. I just rebuilt the Brake MC, Clutch MC and replaced all of the brake lines, so This will be a little repetitive.

Rebuild kit is $40 from any Nissan Dealer. I just rebuilt my 26mm ones, easy as pie.

Rebuild parts cheap as shit:

Lastly, if your rocking the 89-90 wheels I wouldnt expect any z32 brakes to fit.

The ONLY stock 15" nissan wheels that fit the 26mm Z brakes w/out spacers are the 91+ 7 spoke alloys. And you have to have the right ones with the right inner wheel ribbing type deal. Search on FA for which ones they are specifically. YES THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF 7 SPOKE ALLOYS, they look the same from the outside, its the inner design that makes the wheels different. This is also why spoke design is what dictates wither you can fit Z brakes or not...

Personally I would reccomend using a 16" wheel or bigger with the Z brakes because they need more cooling and ventilation. Thats just me though....

He's correct, 2 types. The pictures in the thread on FA have been down for sometime or were down when i tried to look at them so i'll post the pictures of my wheels and my 26mm setup on my s13.
