I am looking at buying an engine from ebay. The engine is for suited an automatic trans, and comes with everything, engine, trans, harness, ecu, etc.
My 240 already has a manual transmission in it. My question is, can I just swap the flywheel, harness, and ecu into it?
Also, my car is a 93, and the engine is off of a 95 with obd2
This is the engine I'm looking at: Used 1995 1998 Nissan 240sx s14 KA24DE DOHC 2 4L Automatic Transmission Engine | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/390490584238?item=390490584238&viewitem=&vxp=mtr)

Yes just unbolt the old tranny and torque converter then bolt up your 5sp parts.

Will the ecu work with it also?

Don't forget the pilot bearing, the one from the auto will really give you headaches if you forget to remove it.
Its been debated quite a bit but the auto ECU is in some cases a better choice, no speed cut and better fuel maps. I have had my auto ecu in my manual car for over a year and have not had it die or cut out on me once, and the higher idle issue is easily fixed by turning down your base idle and ignoring the idle up then down at stoplights.
i heard auto to mans are a PITA but hey do it post pics and stuff
i was mad when i had to yank a soch and fill without another sohc..

Will the ECU still work even though it's and obd2 one?

Going back to this for sec... Pilot bushing you need is 2-3 bucks at West Covina (TheNismoshop.com). Don't pay 10-15 for it like other places will try to charge you.

If the chassis is OBD1 and the ECU is OBD2 it won't work and visa versa, if they are the same OBD then it does not matter.
Also the swap is pretty simple and straight forward you just have to take your time and follow one or more of the 50 or so write ups on it. If something does not make sense in one look at another and the info may be presented more clearly.
