Hey guys just want your opinion on the kit. I have been rethinking the Sr swap since everyone and there dog are doin it these days. Plus I am more into drag racing then drifting/AutoX and the KA-T is very torque happy. Anyways just lookin for some ideas and opinions.

Heres what i got from greddy:
Designed specifically for the factory 240SX’s KA24 DE engine, the GReddy 20G Turbo Kit is a great alternative to complicated SR20DET engine transplants, with better bolt-on horsepower and toque gains at just 6psi (225hp). The GReddy KA24DE Kit includes: a large TD06S 20G actuator-turbo, durable cast-iron manifold, 4x topfeed 370cc injectors with high flow fuelrail, preprogrammed “e-manage”, Airinx air-intake, and all the necessary piping and hardware. The larger 2.4L engine with a turbo rated for upto 460hp and a programmable e-manage is a great basis for further upgrades, especially the 240SX Type 24 Front-mounted Intercooler Kit now available.
Part # Description Sugg. List.
11520633 1996-98 Nissan 240SX TD06S 20G Turbo Kit $3590.00
12020042 1996-98 Nissan 240SX Front-mounted Intercooler Kit $990.00

Only catch is that its only for OBD-IIs, not for OBD-Is. Have no clue if greddy will make the OBD-I version but i definitely believe they need to...thats what most 240s are out there. Pretty pricey considering you dont even have the FMIC yet. But I guess thats what you gotta pay for a SMOG LEGAL kit.

If you dont have to worry bout smog, id say check out XS engineering, N-Sport *makes most power @ 250hp to the wheels* or I havent heard anything bad about Realnissan kits and not a bad price either. I think theres a couple more but those 3 are the only one that i was considering when i was planning on goin KA-T.

I thought it was being sold for $2800, Greddy is the manufacturer price...street price should be lower, right? Someone was definitely selling a greddy kit here for less than MSRP...

anyone wanna guess how much it'll put out with the intercooler? 250+rwhp?

that's right. They changed to OBD-II in 96. Some people with an early model 96 have OBD-I though

Enjuku sells them for somewhere around 2800 IIRC.

An intercooler is not going to give you that much of a gain. If you want to see 250+ whp, I would sell the 370 injectors as soon as you open the box and get yourself something bigger (550s are easy to find). You may be able to get to 250 with the 370s, but you'd really be pushing the duty cycle, and when spending that much for a turbo kit it'd be smarter to play it safe.
Then get some dyno time and tune for higher boost with the E-manage and your upgraded injectors. Now that I think of it you probably should get a fuel pump too if the kit doesn't come with one. That should get you at least 250.

Enjuku wants $2879 for it. Heavy throttle wants $2999. You can also get the GReddy intercooler for $799 instead of paying $990 on Enjuku.
