the stock knob does NOT fit. The thread and width on the shifter shaft is different from the stock s14 knob

then why does my new nismo lether knob fit on BOTH shifters(b&m and stock)?

well mine didn't. I have this shifter on my car and my stock knob did not come close to fitting. (as in screwing on) I had a universal knob to use the shifter.

lol, i have a 300zx knob on mine, and my s13 knob before that, and my friend has a s14 shifter in his s13 with as13 knob on it so i d ahve to say and 240sx knob will work. maybe your treads were messed up, i ll send this link to my firned i htink he ll be interested

i used my friends old 300zx knob as well (looks f'ing retarded tho), im pretty sure the threads are all universal, but hey ill throw in a used trust grex metal knob too just in case heh

i suppose it could be, but it seems highly unlikely, s13/s14 base same as a Z thread, but s14 SE is different? in either case like i said, ill throw in the trust grex knob heh

haha right now i'm wondering why mine didn't work. I have to re-thread my shifter b/c the universal smashed the threads closed. I do'nt know why my shifter knob didn't work. I know it was def. bigger b/c I remember trying it. Humm this is gonna bother me now. haha

they are all the same unless u have something 6 speed, you can check whn looking at nismo shift knobs what it will fit, honda's use the same thread too my friends se knob is in my other friends civic. i have used a s13 base knob, s13 se knob, s14se, knob, and a 300zx knob on my b&m and all have worked fine........

as far as i know, it will fit into any s13/s14 tranny, US or not. it does not come with the 6 bolts required to bolt it down to the tranny, I kind of need those, as far as the c-clip, im not sure what your rferring to.
