So ever since i bought my 1991 s13 fb Ka24de I have been noticing it bogs and starts to die slowly idles at 700 drops to 500 and back up but anyways yesterday I notice that the maf connector is all raggedy and i take it out and 2 out of the 3 wires are cut and fell apart then the metal pieces just ripped off. Besides that i pulled all 3 cables out(white, black, and white/black) to fix the issues by connecting new wire and just plugging them back into the correct maf sensor slots but now my cars even worse it idles at 500 dying practically, bogs violently and starts to shoot smoke out of the pipe honestly i'm still a noob at the 240 game so any help will be greatly appreciated. I can post a video if it helps somehow...

The wiring before the maf sometimes mess up. Try making new lines going to it.

I haven't cleaned the maf although i was thinking about it i had a spare one lying around that belonged to a s13 convertible but its the same maf and i did rewire it just keeps bogging and dying when i took the wires out i guess i must have put them in the wrong order or something but i think from left to right its white, black and black/white then the forth is left blank correct? i will post a video tomorrow of everything ill make sure to capture it all this has been bugging me so much :bash: thanks for the replies though much appreciated!

My mistake I didn't mean bogging I meant shaking mostly it bogs when i rev it but I didn't rev it just because the engine dies out when I rev it. Also notice when i show the engine how the maf is sucking in air so loud or you know not normally. This has been bothering me so much.
