I'm looking to get some new tires for the front. I need something cheap but decent. They are going on a 18x9.5 and I'm gonna run a 225/40. I run -6.5 camber in the front. I've always ran Federals but I've been hearing alot about Achilles for the rear so I'm just seeing if anyone runs them up front on their drift car and how they are working out...thanks guys.

They're decent tires when new. Pretty sticky for what they are. If you liked regular 595s up front, ATRs should be better.

I've used nothing by Star Specs up front and have had brand new pair of ATRs last me all day on my 500hp SR.

Try the Achilles 123s on the front instead of ATR for insane grip up front. Made my car point and shoot from 4 wheel slide on Federals or Nexen.

Let me know how the Achilles goes. I am curious also. Been running Federals this entire time.

achilles 123s??? You mean 2233s? The 2233s are replacing the ATR Sports. ATR Sports are being phased out.

I dont know the achille, but i know the federal 595SS ... worst thing i ever drove with. Even nankang NS2s were better. Want real tyres ? Get federal RSR.

NO, I mean the 123s. Its the tires on the front of Daigo and Robbies FD car. I'm sponsored by Achilles also, its all I will run on the front from now on. Google them, they are race slicks with groves to meet DOT. Like having sticky tires in F1 on your car.

You do know that achilles has a lot of tires that are not legal for street use in the USA right? That tire I am almost positive is not available to the US market. The only sport tires that were/are available AFAIK are the 2233 and the ATR Sport which is being phased out.

If you can find a place to purchase the 123s i would like to know, please post a link or someway for us to check it out?

I will email them and post a link or answer on where to get the 123s. I'm in Las Vegas and they are on my car.

Federals are overpriced. Especially rsr

They cost 30% less than R888 and grip only slightly less, while lasting way longer. If you find that overpriced for such a grippy tyre, you might have bought the wrong car ...

running -6.5 camber in the front it doesnt matter what tire you put on there since you arent using any of it. Why so much camber with a 9.5 is the offset like -70 and you have stock unrolled fenders.

OMG i did not notice the camber ... Yet another ruined car to get wheels fit under the arches ... 7° caster and -1.5° camber is all you need ... Go 7.5° caster and -2° camber for extra sticky tyres on track... but i guess this car only knows parking lot shows.

and 225" on 9.5 ? My 235s on 9" at the rear are already a bit stretched ... Sometimes i am really glad i dont live on the same continent. That thread is really retarded.

You guys got me sold on the ATR's. How do these guys run? Are they fat like federals?

me and my buddies always run nitto nt05 or nt01 up front for grip. nexen n3000 seem to last even longer than the 595. i would never run a cheap ass tire in the front, brakes lock up too easily and understeer sucks. i have a few videos of friends funning 595's up front and locking up right into curbs/walls
