Hey can anybody please help me. I followed the link below during my electric fans to the stock OEM plug also with a relay as described in the link and I've yet to see my fans kick on low speed. the only time they kick on is when the a/c is turned on which is on high speed. any ideas of any suggestions why its not kicking on at the low temp when reached. my engine will go all the way to hot and they still will not kick on. dunno if that write up is bad but it didn't work for me.

that plug is for the ac fan. you'll need to wire in a control box or run ac all the time. its pretty simple depending on wich on you get. wire the box in bring the engine to temp and turn the adjuster screw untill the fan comes on, then ur good to go

The trigger that you tapped to is for the AC fan. The fan will only get a signal when the AC is on. You can ground out the AC fan relay in the fuse box so you will constantly get a switched 12v signal to the AC fan plug, that you're using as the trigger for your fan.

grab an fsm and familiarize yourself with the colors of the wires in the engine bay and what they are for

A good fan, fan clutch and fan shroud combo can't be beat. (Unless you are V mount).

i followed this diagram

except my trigger is my +12VACC from my radio

hmm, i wish i still had the lil diagram i used to wire mine up. anyways, I bought a 2-in-one gauge/switch that pulls the relay in at 185* and opens it up at 175*. Main power for the relay is run from the fog light power source (since i don't have fog lights) through a 30 amp circuitbreaker, switched power is run from the gauge itself which gets power from the radio wiring. Relay ground goes to... the chassis... and power from the relay goes to my fans. I have them wired so they come on low with only the gauge's signal OR the a/c signal, but if I'm running a/c and the gauge says the cars hot enough they come on high.

U could use the other wiring diagram, although I do prefer to use my ground as a switch... Instead of 12 volts

Here's how I wired mine up, it might help you, should you ditch the AC wiring route.

I bought two SPAL Universal Fan relay kits, swapped out the thermostatic switch for a two post 1/8" NPT unit, and then used an OEM Headlight Actuation Button with a Rear Defrost Face (Pop the face off of each and swap) to act as my manual override.

I just run a switch to the cabin cutting them on or off when I see fit (turn them on soon as temp hits 180) also have a fuse inline of it. Or you could just run 2 switches inside. One for radiator and one for ac and turn them on when u need to so u know your fans are on and working

Currently, I'm using an old FAL Fan controller with a broken probe on it. So right now, I have to manually turn on the fan. I ended up splicing a wire from my cruise control button and tapped it into the controller's override connection. All I have to do is turn push my old cruise control button to turn my fan on. I turn the car off, switch automatically resets itself so I dont have to worry about accidentally leaving my fan on.
