Longggg story short, I have an S13 SR20DET 5 speed for sale. 28k miles, and I haven't installed it. Don't need to. $250 you pick up, $275 I deliver up to 50 miles. It's sitting on my passenger seat, so I want to get rid of this thing ASAP.
Call or text 24/7 at (3one0) 9two6 7seven47. Yes, name's Drew.
My girlfriend HATES the fact that there's a "tranny" taking up her seat in my car. I keep trying to explain to her that it's a gearbox and not a transsexual, but you know how girls are with cars. F-ing 30k miles without an oil change, we've seen it all right?
Anyway, here's the long story for anybody who wants to learn something.
Under the advice of one of these (QUITE FAMOUS INDEED) local 1 day redtop swap shops, I bought a new transmission to be swapped into my S13. Of course my problem was just the dreaded $30 throwout bearing, and so I went somewhere else and had it changed for $225 along with my clutch disc, pressure plate and pilot bearing. Phenomenal and phenomenally cheap general mechanic in the Northridge area knows 240SXs like his [email protected] as he had one himself once upon a time. Name's chano, number's 8187270500 for anyone who needs some work done and is missing either tools or knowledge.
A side note: I bought a used clutch pedal somewhat recently from another one of these (AGAIN, SURPRISINGLY WELL KNOWN AND "REPUTABLE") 1 day redtop swap shops, and they "adjusted it to spec" which of course was about 5 inches too high. This will DISINTEGRATE your throwout bearing, and wreak havoc on your clutch & flywheel as it did mine. My advice to all of you paying these dipsh!ts for mechanical work is to invest in a jack, jack stands, and a decent socket set. Anything ANY of these "240SX specialists" has done for me in the past could have been done MUCH BETTER, and more importantly MUCH cheaper elsewhere. Anybody trying to get you out the door with "tubro powerz" ASAP for $3k is gonna mess something up. Keep in mind that anybody advertising low prices on their website is likely hurting for cash and not likely to spend the necessary amount of time on your car.

So, again, I just want to get my money back. $250 you pick up, $275 I deliver up to 50 miles. Or else I go shop it around at these terrible "240SX specialist" places.
