I was wondering what tires are preferred by most of you guys???Please don't say the cheap used tires just for shredding. I also wonder what people think about stretching tires?

Super vague question. What kind of driving? Slicks, All season, summer tires??

Stretching tires is for posers and hard parkers.

Got a couple.

Hard/Spirited driving.(Summer)
-Michelin Pilot sport AS$200 per tire (2254018)
-Bridgestone RE 11$240 per tire (2254018)

I just recently got some

Bridgetstone 760 pole position (2254018)

So far great tire running these on my S14. Took them on a mountain run and damn they are responsive.
Just rained today so I haven't tested wet traction, but so far I like them alot for the price.

I didn't mean to say bov...tire stretching on a lot of cars around here is retarded because over half of sidewall is under the rim. The sidewall is not meant to be driven on and with huge amounts of camber with stretched tires your driving on a lot of sidewall.

Your tires won't last long and I'm sure going a reasonable speed on the interstate is a good way to need a new set of tires.

Weird, my car must've never gotten the message.

Also, the arrow on the tire which indicates the leading edge indicates that my tire is not rolling over more so than it should be.

This is true for my 215/40 rt615k's on a 9j, as well as my 215/40's on a 595ss on a 10j.

Nice try though.

My friends must just be slacking on old ass tires, or are in desperate need of an alignment.

I want them to make a comparison with the new RT615K. Thats another tire that's been out a while but havent really heard alot of. My impression is that people are still turned off with how gooey the old RT615 would turn, after heat cycled.

For as much money you'd spend, and strictly summer tires, I'd go with Nitto NT05 for that price range. Alot better than RSRs.

They suck in all-seasons. Pure branding on tire companies part. Only get 10* lower operating temperatures. Still suck in Ice and Snow.
All-Season vs. Winter / Snow Tires (http://www.tirerack.com/videos/index.jsp?video=23&tab=winter)
Get some BLIZZAK's if you are worried about winter driving.

They actually dropped the Evos? Last time I looked them up, I was still in Japan. They were hyping these up to be comparable to Advan AD07/08s.

Falken 452 sucks in real rain. Unless you like sliding around... haha

Hankook V12 has been my favorite all season including Wet condition.

I loved my kdw2's. I want to try a Bridgestone out, maybe re11 or the 9760

Maybe a federal rsr but for the price I think i could get something better

Supra im using Falken ZE 502s, 245 50 16 rear. 225 in the front and i love them, they seem to handle great. They handle great and just seem to grip very well. I typically take it out for canyon runs and the turns are very sharp at times yet its rare for the wheels to lose traction. I dont have a tone of power. But for my stock HP they are great.

For the s13, im running Kuhmo 716's 195 60 14 They are decent but i dont do grip with it so they are to be wasted soon.

RS-3 is one on worst one in Rain though. Holy sticky only on dry weather.

I believe V12s are considered Summer performance tires but wet performance is very very good.

Highly recommended!!!
