WHen I was in Okinawa and had my 180 tuned, IIRC there was a little box on the driver's side shock tower that the tuner clipped the connector & shorted (looped) the 2 big wires coming out of it together... He said something (in Japenglish) with respect to the fuel pump, flow etc. I came across this on FRSport, and I wonder if it performs the same function: Tomei P.M.B.C. Sensor - Nissan S13 SR20DET (http://www.frsport.com/Tomei-P-M-B-C--Sensor---Nissan-S13-SR20DET_p_54451.html?gclid=CO_GldG7krMCFS-RPAodkFoAUw)
If so, where does it go, if anywhere on a USDM S13? Or is this particular piece only applicable to JDM cars that originally came with SR's?
Thanks.

I believe that's what it does... But the fuel pump relay on a USDM 240 is in the fuse box so again I am not sure if it applies to US S13's.

hmmm ya i would really like to know, i've recently encountered a leaning out issue. seems like a cheap fix. do you have any pics of it installed?

Just checked my stash of old 180 pics... Don't have a shot of it. On an RHD car, It sits to the right of the MC on the aft shock tower- pretty much where the cruise control bellows sits on a USDM S13.

I encountered this on frsport once before and was curious about it as well but I never followed through with it since I wasn't sure where it needed to be plugged in.

Finally got the answer from one of my Okinawa buds... Pretty much what I suspected. Variable pumps (hence Pump Modulation Bypass Connector) are for JDM turbo cars, so on a USDM 240 that was never turbo, there is nothing to bypass.
