This monday the 15th will be officially 3 weeks from when Heavy Throttle received my KA and SR harnesses for rewiring. I know what your thinking, I should've done the rewiring myself, well, I didn't want to take any chances ruining anything and also be cheap trying to save $250 when I already spent about $7K on the swap itself, so whats a little more to pay for professional assistance. Anyway, my swap is complete minus the harness. Once that comes in, I can actually start the car. Man, everyday since last monday I've been checking my front doorstep hoping its there, but nope not yet. I hope it comes in soon and not like a month and half. I've read others get theirs within 2 weeks, maybe Yuri at HT is just backed up. Well, this is just my post just ranting about the longest 2-3 week wait ever. What do you guys think? Expect it on monday, or much later?

Also here is the post i made during the swap.

much later.....but not too much later.Hehe, it already feels like forever. Jaime was telling me his friend's took a month but I think it was for an S13 > S13, and supposedly they cost $150 less because those are much easier to rewire. I hope it doesn't take much longer.

Wow sounds like my fuckin life story rite now...only difference is im 2 wks behind you rite now. Im sending my SR harness out to Phase2 tomorrow. S13 blacktop into a S14 kouki. Blew my $6k budget up by bout $1.2k and shiets not even installed yet. I still need to get the harness done, fluids and ever else i might need to replace when i try to start the damn thing. Crossing my fingers the alternator and power steering pumps are good.

I added up the price of the basic motorset and it came out to $2600. $2600 for a complete redtop motorset is ridiculous and it looks like it didn't come with the stock intercooler and piping. You can get clips with radiators, driveshafts, brakes, performance goodies, and other stuff for that amount. Then sell off the RHD conversion to the ricers and extra parts left over.

Just realized you got shipping with that. I guess it's not that bad but better could be had.

It's worth the wait.....just know that spring time is coming soon...and you can finally open up the sunroof...roll down the windows and hear the whoosh of your turbo.

ummm.....I guess

to answer Zenki's question. -Yes, and I wouldn't do it again unless someone paid me. I've done a lot of harness work. I've taken single wires out pin by pin, and rerouted them (the correct way). It's not fun, and takes a lot of patience. I just hate paying people for work that I know I could do myself and do it better.

I guess I have more confidence in Yury than I have in myself and I guess I'm going by other Zilvia members' reviews, but I'll judge his work as soon as it comes in and I'll ask myself if it was worth paying him to do it. I usually don't pay other people either, when I know I can handle it myself, like suspension, exhaust, vlsd, maintenance work, etc., but a swap I had to pay a friend of mine for his help and experience. The next swap if I ever have to go through one, will be on my own since I learned a lot from this swap.

so the longest weeks were spent waiting?
strange, my longest hours, days, and weeks were all spent putting blood and sweat into my car. Not so much waiting on the mail.
