Ive searched around everywhere but I just cant get a sure answer on weather these seats are real or fake. I'd like to get other opinions. The material doesn't feel silky and the cushions are pretty firm. If more detailed pictures are needed just let me know.

If you paid over 1k each I think you're allowed to say they are real regardless

Only got one and for $300 from someone local. He said they were real, but I just wanted the seat either way.

how does it feel? does it flex alot and shit? does the material feel high quality? if you run your hand across it it shouldn't be super soft/smooth, and when you sit in the seat you should feel real fuckin solid in there.

Feels just like cloth really, not super smooth like silk and it feels like God's hand is cupping my body. Seems high quality, it will flex a tiny bit but only to a certain point. This is the first racing seat I've owned so I have nothing to compare to really.

And I did try to email Bride at
[email protected] but this email isn't working.
Looks legit to me mine have the same markings and I'm 100% there legit. Usually the fakes don't say made in Japan and the ghost is hazey not defined like yours. Also it wouldn't have the sticker on the bottom if it was fake.

Shouldn't the "B" on the tag be a little farther out instead of half covered? If I remember correctly that was one indication of a replica.

looks fake, you can tell by the stiching and how it ends ugly like in pic 4 and 5

Stiching and tag show that it is in fact a fake. Also the cut off on the gradiation is also a sign as well. Sorry buddy !

The lack of slack/creases in the waist area and pad inserts are what make it look very legit to me. Nice cutoff on the logo, and plenty of thick pad especially on the bottom ass-area lol. On fake seats that pad is lacking. There is an image bride provides to show how to tell.. I can't find the link.

i dont recall stating the difficulty of making sparkle. its one of the many things to look for. replicas in the past had more silver than black sparkle.

I would contact more japan. They are authorized dealers, and could tell you. I think if anyone buys brand new brides they would keep the authenticity paper work just for the fact that some assholes might not believe them and think they are knocks if they ever try to sell them.

It's legit man. One that's not commonly noticed is that the lettering on the head rest part on real ones are not joined together, each letter is stitched separately whereas the fake ones you can see a very thin stitch that joins all the letters together

I think the biggest problem is the reals are being made in the same place or next door to the real deals

Ive never seen a fake seat have this sticker while my real ones did. But I guess it isnt too hard to make a sticker and put it on.

From what I've read the "tee's corporation" logo is what makes that a legit sticker.
I did send an message to more japan though, so I'll let you guys know what they think.

I really don't see the hype in owning Brides myself, most of them aren't even FIA approved, and also cost more than many FIA approved seats. But I do find it sad that they are so overly copied that you have to actually search to determine which is real and fake before buying.

Amennnnnnnnnnn who cares!! It's obvious you do not care if it is FIA approve . Just tell your friends it's real and that's it!! When they tell you it's fake, just say something like " your a hater" or " you wish you got one for this great price " or " it's cooler than your matrix seat"...... And so on

People calling it fake, have you actually owned a genuine Bride seat before to make that judgement? Or are you going off your uneducated guess?
I can say in my opinion, the material on that seat in the pictures look to be the real deal. Also the velcro that attaches the cushion padding look to be the real deal.
Furthermore, the underside with the way the material wraps and the metal latch/wire look legit. And the sticker as well.
From what I've seen with fakes, the middle padding cushion doesn't have velcro that is easily dettachable, and the material on them are inferior and have a shiney surface. The underside is also not as cleanly finished like the real deal.
Hope my opinion helps.
Cheers,
Andy

I always love these threads because it's always almost 50% of people saying the seat is real, and the other half saying it's fake. Honestly I have no idea personally if your seat is fake OP, but the fabric itself can be a giveaway, maybe you have to have sat in a real one to know what it feels like.
Bride USA or Tee-USA whatever they call themselves doesn't respond to emails at all. Seems like nobody is home over there.
What I would try doing is get some good pics of your seat and try sending a message to Bride's official Japanese facebook. They have employees that speak English that will probably help you out. They were able to I.D. a seat for me, I think it's worth a shot. Too many fakes around nowadays. Should have gotten some old schools.

Id judge by the car they where in, if the car was a pile of junk missile, than there you go, fake! lol

They are actually pretty good about responding to Facebook messages, although it may take a week for them to get back to you. :)

I love seeing a new "Real or Fake?" Bride thread every week. "OMG your stitching isn't the same" or "Your Bride monster isn't sexy like the real deal" Like I said, if it isn't FIA approved who really cares? It's not like the stock s13 seats are a real lifesaver themselves, I had the upper portion completely fold backwards under regular driving and I'm not overweight or anything lol
