So my current daily is a w202 Mercedes C230 however I have become quite bored with it and am going to sell it soon.

So now I'm debating over getting a DA/DC Integra or a NB Miata. My budget will be around 4,000 but Im willing to stretch it to 5,000.

Both get good gas milage, light weight, handle well so they both should be fun dailys. The only clear advantage one has over the other

I see is that the Integra has a back seat (not that Ill need it very often) Anyways I figured you guys would have good input.

So if I could have your guys thoughts on this it would be much appreciated.

... You're going to sell your mercedes, and buy a Miata or Integra? Really? Thats a pretty huge downgrade for a daily driver... Have you considered a bmw, or some other semi-comfortable car for a daily?

My parent's both had Mercedes cars, and were absolutely horrible when anything broke. I'd never recommend one for a daily driver out of warranty lol.
I think the Integra would be a more comfortable daily driver than the Miata, but I absolutely hate fwd. The Miata is a fun car, and has a huge aftermarket if you plan on modding, but can still be very fun in stock form. I'd recommend seeing if you can drive either for an extended time before making your decision.

Haha yea honestly there is nothing special about the Mercedes.

The only luxury I would like is AC. Yea I have a buddy with a Miata

I'll see if I can borrow it for the weekend. Anybody owned one

or maybe even both?

You guys missed the biggest part. The hole Honda no TQ shit does not make a fun daily. The whole reving to 8700 on a stock tune is dope.....until you look at how fast you are going and realize your still not doing 80.

I daily a dc2 integra, 2000 I think (is it sad I don't even know?) ... the hatcback comes in SUPER handy I fit my mountain bike in there, fit a ton of things with the seats down, really comes in handy - absolute blast to drive even though it's an ls... great gas mileage...

Not really looking for something all that fast.

Like I said, reason for choosing one of the two

is because both are light, handle well, good gas milage,

and both have good aftermarket support as well.

I was really looking at getting a FRS however I just

moved out into my own place so that's out of the question.

Would you say I'm better off with a DC over a DA?

I'm completely ignorant when it comes to Hondas haha

I have previously owned two Mazdaspeed Miatas at different times, and they were both awesome cars. Handled great and had the extra punch of turbo. I'm not sure if its in your price range but they are great if you can find one. I'd say one thing the Miata has over the integra is a much lower theft rate.

I can't imagine why an older one would be better. Less miles/newer *shrug*

I would love a Mazdaspeed Miata but the cheapest one I have found is 8,500.

Gotcha. You can still find NB's for really cheap especially 99-00 models. As far as DA VS DC, I would take the DC in a heartbeat, I personally think DA's look gross.

My stock single cam s13 gave my friends GSR swapped integra a run for 1-3. See what I mean? That's sad.

I also had a swapped teggi for a week or so (bought to flip) and it was nice to rev to the moon. And it really felt like you were going fast shifting through the gears. But it's an illusion. That's why I couldn't stand that damn car.

But I'd pick DC over a miata because the simplicity to work on and cheap and better on gas

LOL My stock single cam KA beat my buddy's s14 back in the day, doesn't mean my car was actually fast, it probably meant my friend sucked at driving or his car wasn't working so well.

I'd really like to hear what you think is so much more complicated about working on a Miata than an Integra? One good thing about the Miata engine is that if the timing belt ever snaps you won't be destroying valves since it is a non interference engine. Plus most Integras you will find have been royally abused.

I feel the simplicity of the FF platform is what beats the miata
