Welcome, there are actually 3 different s13's, fastback, coupe and conv. The difference between the coupe and the hatch is one has a trunk, the other has a hatch, the tail lights are also different.
Yes a JDM front can be put on a hatch.
You have much to learn about 240's... I say read through a lot of the old posts and you will learn slowly.

a good start is to browse through the techtalk area. and just browse around the site.
Welcome. It takes a lot of time, but be patient and browse throught the site thoroughly; doing so would have answered most of ur questions. Good luck, and hope you find your 240 soon. They are fun cars to own.
Cheers

Coo thanx, Yea im planning on getting a red 240 hatch and doing a S13 front end, and a swap, But how i said i just know these thing by looking at them, I still wanna learn about Turbos, Engine swaps, Basiclly 240 info, before i start doing anything, (S13)Hatches and coupes came from 89-95 correct? How much would a nice one go for now a days? Also Ive seen on some s13 conversions some headlights are diff. than others, like seem to have projectors?
P.S. how much do these conversions run for?$$

Definitely advise you to do at least a month of research before modding anything. But if not, u'll learn from mistakes :bash:
s13 models are 1989 to 1994 in US; 1994 were all convertibles
type in "silvia projectors" in search, and u'll see 3 different kinds of headlights.
type in "240sx" in here:
http://www.craigslist.org/car/
and u'll see prices, look for at least a month, and u'll get an idea what is a good price for a nice one. Most common 100k miles on a 92 SE model goes for about $3500-$4500 depending on condition. these cars are getting popular though, so prices are going up.
