I'm new to the S14, and I was looking around in my car in the back deck and was surprised to see how high up the tops of the shock towers are compared to my old <sniff> S13.

Anyway... does the (Nismo for example) rear strut bar stick up through the back deck ? like close to the back window ?

Sure looks like it would at first glance... anyone have a picture of their rear strut bar in an S14 ? I'd appreciate it.

It does stick up over the cover thats behind the seat. Looks kinda cool if you cut the cover cleanly. If you end up with coilovers that adjust on the top of the shock body ( like Tein HE ) you will most likely want to just leave the cover off. I just threw my cover into storage.

Don't buy a chrome bar for the rear, it reflects light and your car will be the center of attention for miles around on a sunny day! Or just paint it black so its hidden. I was driving a few cars behind an S14 equipped with a chromed rear strut tower brace and it was catching the light and was SUPER bright reflection.

i have the JIC carbon fiber rear one. it goes over the seat. and i also have Tein HE's...i need to take that cover off, but i have repainted my car a different color and it looks funny without it. i might just paint the rear deck black.

I agree S14xman, I think Cusco makes more than one model, could you tell me which model that is ? Thanks.

FWIW, I'm going to put Tein Flex and EDFC in, and I don't want anything in the way.
